Symptoms of hernia in pregnant women

Photos of symptoms of hernia in pregnant women? During pregnancy, as the fetus grows, the intra-abdominal pressure also increases. So, what are the main manifestations of hernia in pregnant women? What are the symptoms of pregnancy hernia? ?

1

This shows the touchability

The most important symptom of hernia is that a lump can be seen or touched in the groin. The most common cause is sobbing, but others include coughing, defecation, urination, etc. Standing up and exerting force on the abdomen can also cause the appearance of lumps. The lumps may only be seen in the groin, and some may reach the vulva.

2

Drag

The cecum that slides out of the abdomen often forms adhesions with the anterior wall of the hernia sac. In addition to the fact that the lumps cannot be completely eliminated, there are also symptoms such as indigestion and constipation. Drag hernia is common on the right side, with the ratio of the upper and lower sides being approximately 1:6. During surgical repair, avoid the possibility that the protruding cecum or sigmoid colon may be mistaken for part of the hernia sac and be cut open.

3

Difficulty in defecation

When the hernia content is the descending colon or sigmoid colon, the patient cannot defecate and can only defecate after reduction. Or there may be a "double urine" situation, that is, you feel pain in the hernia when urinating, the hernia becomes smaller after the first urination, and then you feel the urge to urinate again soon, resulting in one urine being excreted in two parts. This condition is often seen in patients with large bladder herniation.

4

Incarceration

It often occurs when the intra-abdominal pressure increases sharply during labor or defecation, and is generally an indirect hernia. The clinical characteristics are sudden enlargement of the hernia and severe pain. Lying flat or pushing the block hard cannot be recovered. The lump becomes hard and painful. When the incarcerated content is the greater omentum, the local pain is often mild; if it is an intestinal loop, not only is the local pain significant, but it may also be accompanied by symptoms of reflex intestinal obstruction such as paroxysmal abdominal cramps, nausea, vomiting, constipation, and abdominal distension.

5

Flickering

When the pregnant woman is quiet or sleeping, it appears and disappears. The lumps are caused by the slipping of organs in the abdomen to the groin. The colon is the most common organ that slips, so it feels soft to the touch and is often accompanied by gurgling sounds when it moves back. Other organs such as the intestines, appendix, and greater omentum may also slip.

6

Can promote reducibility

Some expectant mothers will experience hernias that will manifest as a reducible lump. The lump is small at first and only appears when the pregnant woman stands up, works, walks, jogs, coughs violently or cries. The lump will shrink and disappear on its own when lying down or pressed by hand. Generally there is no specific discomfort, only sometimes accompanied by local swelling and referred pain. As the disease progresses, the lump may gradually expand from the groin to the labia majora, causing difficulty in movement and affecting work.
