Why do follicles not grow?

Why do follicles not grow?

The development of follicles is the key to whether a woman can have children. Through investigation, we found that a large proportion of people’s infertility is due to incomplete development of follicles. Therefore, we can only better solve the problem of infertility by finding a way to promote the development of follicles. So what are the treatments for poor follicular development? Today I will introduce you to this type of disease. I hope it’s useful to you all.

1. Premature ovarian failure occurs. Some female friends experience poor follicular development due to premature ovarian failure. It is normal for patients to have early menstruation, and they may even have a history of childbearing. However, later on, their menstrual flow becomes scanty, and some even experience amenorrhea. This is usually because the follicles in the patient's ovaries have been used up, and ovulation-stimulating drugs cannot be used to allow them to develop, or there are primordial follicles, but they have no response to gonadotropins.

2. Suffering from polycystic ovary syndrome. Polyovary syndrome is one of the reasons for poor follicular development. This condition is the most common cause of female friends not ovulating. Its characteristics are: the ovaries become larger and have multiple small follicles, but they cannot develop to maturity. Drugs are needed to promote the development of female friends' follicles.

3. Pituitary problems. Poor development of female ovaries can lead to abnormal ovulation. Such as: pituitary prolactinoma, hyperprolactinemia, etc.

4. Hypothalamic anovulation occurs. Such as: primary organic/functional factors, secondary organic/functional lesions.

5. Abnormal functions of the thyroid gland and adrenal cortex may cause ovulation disorders, leading to poor follicle development.

What are the dangers for women if their ovarian follicles are not developing well?

If a woman's follicles do not develop or develop slowly, she will not be able to ovulate normally. Even if she ovulates, the quality of the eggs will be poor, which will affect her normal fertility. There are three types of hazards.

1. Unable to conceive and give birth. If the follicles do not develop well, women will not be able to form fertilized eggs normally, and they will become infertile. Although female infertility may be caused by many reasons, poor follicular development is the most fatal factor. Therefore, for the sake of family harmony and a happy family, women must have a sense of crisis, take the poor follicular development seriously, seek timely treatment, and avoid infertility. 2. Miscarriage occurs. If the follicles do not develop well, how can the quality of the eggs be good! Immature fertilized eggs are prone to miscarriage. It is important to note that miscarriage will bring depression to every member of the family, and it will cause great harm to female friends, and may also affect women's physical health.

3. Stillbirth occurs. If the follicles do not develop well, using ovulation-stimulating drugs to force ovulation will cause the egg to be released, but fertilization of the immature egg will result in stillbirth.

In addition to the above situations, the harm of poor development of female follicles will also affect women's daily life and bring them psychological pressure, so they must be treated in time.

Many women feel very inferior about their infertility. But inferiority complex cannot solve the problem. What we can do is to seek lifelong help as soon as possible when we discover the problem. Only in this way can we avoid greater harm.
