Female friends often suffer from gynecological diseases, especially those who are married or have given birth to children. They often have symptoms such as abnormal leucorrhea, abnormal menstruation, and vulvar itching. Among the many gynecological diseases, the more common one is acute vulvovaginitis, which should be treated promptly after becoming ill. So, how should this acute vulvovaginitis be treated? 1. General treatment Eliminate predisposing factors. Keep the vulva clean and dry and avoid scratching. It is not advisable to eat spicy and irritating foods. Change your underwear frequently and wash it with warm water. Do not mix it with other clothes to avoid cross infection. 2. Change the pH of the vagina The most suitable pH value for the growth of Candida is 5.5. The weakly acidic environment of the vagina can maintain the self-cleaning function of the vagina. The normal pH is 3.7-4.5. Therefore, in addition to being suitable for daily cleaning and maintenance, the use of weakly acidic feminine care solutions with a pH of 4 can also inhibit the growth and reproduction of fungi during treatment. When going to the toilet, wipe the vulva with feminine hygiene wipes and keep it dry to inhibit the growth of Candida. 3. Drug therapy (1) Trichomonas vaginitis The trichomonas of trichomonas vaginitis are present in the glands of the folds and cervix, and also in the urethra and intestines. Therefore, systemic administration of metronidazole should be emphasized. (2) To treat candidal vaginitis, you can use 2% to 3% baking soda solution to rinse the vulva and vagina or take a sitz bath, gently dry it, and then place a suppository of nystatin, miconazole or clotrimazole. Oral anti-Candida drugs can also be used. Pregnant or lactating women should consider the effects on the fetus or infant before taking medication for candidal vaginitis. (3) The drug of choice for bacterial vaginosis is oral metronidazole. It can also be applied topically and inserted into the vagina. (4) Treatment of senile vaginitis Senile vaginitis can be treated with local medication in the vagina, such as flushing the vagina with 1% lactic acid or acetic acid solution or pH 4 weak acid formula feminine care solution once a day to increase vaginal acidity. For patients with more severe inflammation, external estrogen preparations can be used as an auxiliary treatment. If you find yourself having symptoms such as vulvar itching, do not take it lightly or avoid seeing a doctor. You should seek medical attention promptly so that the disease can improve quickly. In daily life, you should also pay attention to the hygiene of the vulva. You should wash the vulva frequently with warm water, change your underwear frequently, wash your underwear with hot water, and expose it to the sun. |
