What is Nipple Reduction?

The development of modern cosmetic technology has led to many beauty-conscious ladies being able to choose ways to change certain parts of themselves that they are not satisfied with. In addition to some common bone grinding and face-slimming surgeries, rhinoplasty, and liposuction, more and more beauty-conscious people are beginning to pay attention to other tiny parts of their bodies. Although nipple reduction surgery is not common, some people still choose to improve it. What are the risks and value of this operation?

The breast is an ectodermal organ that originates from the skin and belongs to the superficial structure of the chest wall. Girls' breasts begin to develop at the age of 12 to 13 and are basically mature at the age of 15 to 17. Although there are differences among different races and ethnic groups, the mammary gland is generally composed of 15 to 20 lobes. Breast hypoplasia is essentially a tissue deficiency, so the treatment should be to increase the breast contents, expand the volume, improve the appearance, and make women show their unique curves and charm.

1. Liposuction: Fat and mammary glands are the main parts of breasts. The main reason for giant breasts is that the fat proportion of the breasts is too high. Liposuction can be used to reduce the size of the breasts. The surgical incision of this method is very small and almost no scars will be left. However, the effect of liposuction is relatively limited and not everyone can use it.

2. Annular breast reduction surgery: This method is to make a surgical incision around the areola to remove part of the attached tissue and breast. Some wrinkles will appear on the wound when it is sutured after the operation. Generally, they will begin to fade slowly after three to six months, and the scar will gradually become less obvious.

3. Standard breast reduction surgery: This surgery uses a special design to remove the skin and breast and then replace the new nipple. It will leave obvious scars after the surgery and will also have a certain impact on breastfeeding.

Although we have the support of relatively mature medical cosmetic technology, there are great risks in making such adjustments to women's bodies. This is because it is different from undergoing surgery due to an illness. It may be a forced replacement or reduction of the original body components just because of personal wishes, and the body's tolerance must be taken into consideration.
