The girl's menstruation has been irregular

Everyone must go through puberty in the process of growing up, and puberty is basically a happy period. When girls reach puberty, they basically begin to have the unique physiological characteristics of women and have their first menstruation, which also indicates that their uterus and ovaries are gradually developing and maturing and they have begun to ovulate. So is it normal for adolescent girls to have irregular menstruation?

Is it normal for adolescent girls to have irregular menstruation?

Menstruation is the regular bleeding of the uterine wall under the action of estrogen. The time of bleeding is called the beginning of the menstrual cycle, and the time interval between two menstruations is a menstrual cycle. The normal menstrual cycle is generally 28 to 30 days. If it is 7 days earlier or later than that, it is within the normal range. However, some girls have irregular menstruation, sometimes once every two months, sometimes twice a month, or even less than a few months. So, why are teenage girls prone to menstrual disorders? It turns out that during puberty, the function of the brain-pituitary-uterine ovary axis has not yet fully developed, and the eggs in the ovaries cannot ovulate. It is not until the ovaries are fully developed and function well that the eggs can be ovulated once a month and discharged into the fallopian tubes, so that menstruation will occur on time every month. Therefore, it is normal for girls to have irregular menstruation within 1 to 2 years after their menarche. Some girls may even have irregular menstruation for 3 to 4 years.

However, some women have had very regular menstruation, but suddenly it is less than 2-3 months, and then they have menstruation again with a heavier amount. If this happens, it is best to go for a check-up and find out the cause. If necessary, you can establish a normal menstrual cycle with the help of a doctor. In addition, women in puberty will undergo great changes in physiology and psychology, and the menstrual cycle will become more and more irregular due to factors such as mood swings, environmental changes, climate changes, and stress in study and work.

Prolonged menstruation during puberty

The first day of bleeding is the beginning of the menstrual cycle, and the time interval between the first days of two menstruations is called the menstrual cycle. Therefore, the calculation of the menstrual cycle should include the time of menarche. Some women only calculate the time when their menstrual period ends, so they may feel that their menstrual cycle is shortened. In clinical medicine, some women often report irregular menstruation, with two menarches in a month. In fact, if you calculate carefully, it is normal to have menstruation once at the beginning and end of each month. The normal menstrual cycle is 28 to 35 days. The length of the cycle may vary from person to person. 7 to 10 days early or late can be regarded as a normal range. As long as a certain periodicity can be maintained, it cannot be considered as irregular menstruation. Some women have their menstruation once every three months, which is also normal. This situation is a manifestation of women's good health. After giving birth, the blood and qi become weak, and they will have their menstruation once a month. The expected date of delivery refers to the menstrual period closest to the day of medical consultation, and needs to be calculated from the first day of bleeding. But please note that the due date of pregnancy refers to the duration and amount of this menstrual period being the same as normal menstruation. There is no need to mistake abnormal vaginal bleeding for menstruation. This type of bleeding is generally less than menstrual bleeding, shorter or longer in duration, or loses the regularity of normal menarche.
