Metronidazole suppositories are a drug that has certain side effects. Any drug has side effects. It is not suitable for pregnant women and infants to take the drug. In addition, alcohol is generally not allowed after taking the drug, as it will cause abdominal pain and vomiting in patients. Metronidazole suppository is a drug used to treat vaginal Trichomonas. This drug requires the patient to clean the vagina before applying the drug, and it cannot be taken with other drugs.

The side effects of metronidazole suppositories include redness, swelling, burning and itching sometimes occurring at the medication site. Also, you must not drink alcohol after taking the medicine. If you drink alcohol, you may experience abdominal pain, vomiting, headache and other reactions.

Metronidazole suppository is mainly used to treat vaginal trichomoniasis. It is administered vaginally. When administering the medicine, we must clean the vulva, then take out the suppository and gently insert the lower end of the suppository deep into the vagina. Just take one pill every night, once a day, and we can use it for seven to ten days in a row.

While taking the medication vaginally, we should also take metronidazole tablets orally. We usually take 0.4 grams of metronidazole tablets three times a day for seven consecutive days. It is very effective for this type of vaginal trichomoniasis. This product is prohibited for pregnant and breastfeeding women.
