What is the treatment for dysmenorrhea?

Dysmenorrhea is a gynecological symptom and only occurs before, during and after menstruation. When women experience dysmenorrhea, they often have symptoms such as lower abdominal pain, heaviness, and back pain. In severe cases, it will directly affect women's life and work. Most dysmenorrhea is primary dysmenorrhea. For some women, dysmenorrhea is a pain that is difficult to get rid of. Today, I will introduce several methods of treating dysmenorrhea to women who often suffer from dysmenorrhea.

Hot compresses can keep your body warm. During these critical times, it is very important to keep the body warm, especially in the pelvic area which can be cramped and congested. Using far-infrared abdominal warmer for hot compress for sixty minutes at a time can relieve abdominal bloating and pain. Massaging the lower abdomen can also treat dysmenorrhea, which is characterized by pain in the lower abdomen before or during menstruation. Place your hands together in the middle of your lower abdomen, press your abdomen tightly, and slowly massage your abdomen at a frequency of about 10 times per minute until you feel a warm feeling in your lower abdomen. Massage for a total of 5 minutes.

Massaging certain acupuncture points on the body can also relieve symptoms of dysmenorrhea. Pressing and rubbing Sanyinjiao is mainly used to treat dysmenorrhea, symptoms of which include lower abdominal pain before or during menstruation, pain that is relieved by massaging and pressing, and pain that is relieved by heat. Use the tip of your left thumb to rub the Sanyinjiao point on the opposite side until you feel a sore and swollen feeling. After 1 minute, switch to the tip of your right thumb to rub the left Taichong point for 1 minute.

There is also the foot soaking method. The cinnamon bark and trifoliate gracile foot bath recipe warms the meridians and removes blood stasis, regulates qi and relieves pain, and treats primary dysmenorrhea. Take 3 grams of cinnamon, 10 grams each of Trillium, Curcuma, Safflower, Angelica, Salvia miltiorrhiza, Aconiti lobata, and Corydalis yanhusuo, and 6 grams of costus root. Put the medicine together and add clean water, boil for 30 minutes, remove the residue and take the juice, pour it into a basin together with 2000 ml of boiling water, fumigate the genitals first, and soak the feet when the temperature is suitable. Do it once in the morning and evening every day, each time for 40 minutes. Start soaking your feet one week before your period, and one course of treatment is 10 days.

In addition, during the menstrual period, women should pay attention to their diet and avoid eating cold and spicy foods. Your body is your own. Don't always think about asking others to take care of it. No matter how others take care of you, they cannot share your pain. You still have to bear it all yourself. Rather than relying on others when you have menstrual cramps, it is more practical to pay more attention to your body in daily life.
