With the frequent use of intrauterine surgery, the age of patients with adenomyosis is gradually getting younger. Modern medical treatments are usually accompanied by more toxic side effects and have great limitations. Many people prefer traditional Chinese medicine treatments with fewer side effects. So what are the traditional Chinese medicine treatments for adenomyosis? Next, please read the following to find the answer.

1. Oral administration of Chinese herbal medicine: According to TCM diagnosis, the pathogenic factors of adenomyosis include cold accumulation in the uterus and poor blood circulation. The treatment principle is to use the method of promoting qi and blood circulation, and promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis. For promoting qi and activating blood circulation, cinnamon powder, ginseng and other Chinese medicinal materials are often used to remove chronic cold and encourage the growth and development of blood and qi; for promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, Chuanxiong, Qianghuo, Curcuma, Achyranthes bidentata, Moutan bark and other Chinese medicinal materials are often used to nourish qi and blood, promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis, and eliminate stasis and symptoms.

2. Acupuncture therapy: The selected acupuncture points include bilateral Sanyinjiao, Zhongji, bilateral Guilai, bilateral Diji, Guanyuan, etc. Each needling lasts for 30 minutes. Simple acupuncture, warm needle, electroacupuncture, ear acupuncture and other techniques can be used. It can effectively improve the weak and cold constitution, treat dysmenorrhea and excessive menstrual flow caused by adenomyosis, and has significant analgesic effect.

3. Massage therapy: Different massage techniques are used according to different positions and acupoints, such as pushing, pressing, hitting, holding, rubbing, and vibrating. During treatment, the patient should feel soreness, numbness, and swelling in the massaged positions. After 3 menstrual cycles, the total efficiency of treating adenomyosis reaches about 90%.

4. Hot compress with Chinese medicine: Apply Chinese medicine bag (cinnamon twig, evodia rutaecarpa, chuanxiong, salvia miltiorrhiza, mugwort leaves, lindera strychnifolia, trillium, and curcuma) to the center of the lower abdomen for 15 minutes each time. Because the location of adenomyosis lesions is fixed and close to the epidermis, external Chinese medicine can directly reach the lesion, which is beneficial to the partial absorption of Chinese medicine ingredients and can greatly improve the symptoms.

5. Moxibustion with Chinese medicinal materials through medicine cakes: Grind the Chinese medicinal materials cinnamon powder, Curcuma zedoaria, sand grass root, Codonopsis pilosula, Rhizoma yedoensis, Salvia miltiorrhiza, peach kernel, Ligusticum chuanxiong, Rhizoma trilliums, and Gleditsia sinensis into fine powder, mix with rice wine to make small cakes, place on the acupuncture points, take several strong moxa sticks to burn through the medicine cakes, which can achieve excellent results in the treatment of adenomyosis.

The course of traditional Chinese medicine treatment for adenomyosis is relatively long. Too long a time will have a serious impact on the patient's physiological and psychological state, causing the patient to have negative emotions such as anxiety and depression. Therefore, everyone should communicate more with the patients in treatment, relieve their pain, and guide them to remain careful and cooperate closely with doctors so that all aspects of physiological functions can be restored as soon as possible.
