Does vaginal tightening surgery really work?

Vaginal relaxation is a very common phenomenon in women, especially as they age and after childbirth, the vagina will gradually become loose. Vaginal tightening surgery is one way to treat vaginal relaxation. Tightening the vagina is related to the harmony of future sexual life, so it is also very important. Vaginal tightening surgery is also a surgery after all, so there may be some hesitation when choosing it. So is vaginal tightening surgery really effective?

There are risks in vaginal tightening surgery. Not every patient with vaginal relaxation can undergo vaginal tightening surgery. There are four situations in which vaginal "tightening" surgery is not suitable: one is anterior vaginal wall bulging, which is a gynecological disease that must be treated through gynecological surgery. "Tightening" surgery cannot solve the problem; the second is vaginal inflammation; the third is severe cervicitis; and the fourth is high blood pressure and other diseases. In addition, those who have not given birth or had a cesarean section are not recommended to undergo "tightening" surgery.

This type of surgery is usually performed in an outpatient hospital operating room using local anesthesia. Gauze will be placed in the vagina to prevent hematoma formation. Some people may be allowed to go home, while others need to stay in the hospital for observation.

The patient needs to stay in bed for 12 to 24 hours after the operation, take oral antibiotics to prevent infection, and take a sitz bath with 1/5000 potassium permanganate solution twice a day for 7 to 10 days. The stitches will be removed one week after the operation. In the early stage, you should avoid exerting force, bending over and lifting heavy objects. Generally, you can return to work 1 to 2 weeks after the operation, and resume physical exercise after four weeks. No sexual intercourse for 6 weeks.

The effects of vaginal tightening may be dramatic or only mild, depending on the degree of vaginal laxity before the surgery, but the results are long-lasting. It should be pointed out that vaginal tightening surgery can improve sexual problems caused by vaginal relaxation, but it cannot solve sexual problems caused by psychological or other reasons.

The above article introduces the scope of use of vaginal tightening surgery and the effects after the surgery, both of which vary from person to person. Some people may have very good results from the surgery, while others may not have obvious results. Therefore, you should choose the appropriate method according to your specific situation. Kegel exercises and dietary adjustments can be used as auxiliary treatment methods.
