What to do if your uterus is prolapsed

What to do if your uterus is prolapsed

A woman's uterus is in her belly, and below the uterus are her ovaries. In this case, the egg released by the ovaries combines with the sperm and enters the uterus to slowly nurture a small life. This process is very long and complicated. Our uterus is also one of the important organs of our body. Many people often have uterine prolapse and are very distressed. Let us learn about it.

Uterine prolapse is also called uterine prolapse. The inner wall of the uterus cannot contract and recover well, and it sags into the vagina. In severe cases, it may extend outside the body. The common symptoms of uterine prolapse include at least a feeling of falling (the feeling that something is about to fall out of the lower abdomen), usually back pain, and in severe cases, it can affect the bladder and rectum, causing frequent urination, incomplete urination, or constipation.

Whether the uterus is prolapsed or not requires a doctor to perform relevant examinations to diagnose. Uterine prolapse is caused by the relaxation or degeneration of the pelvic ligaments and muscles, which cannot support the uterus and cause the uterus to prolapse into the vagina. Because women may suffer damage to the ligaments and muscles of the uterus during pregnancy or childbirth. Women who have had several pregnancies or difficult deliveries are more likely to suffer from uterine prolapse. If it is mild sagging, the cervix is still inside the vagina. In severe cases, the cervix will extend to the vulva. In more serious cases, the entire uterus will extend outside the vagina.

In mild cases, there may be some discomfort. In severe cases, the vulva may feel heavy and uncomfortable, and urination and defecation may be very difficult. Because when the uterus prolapses, the inner wall of the vagina will also prolapse. The front vaginal wall will be affected by the bladder, and the back vaginal wall will be affected by rectal prolapse. If the bladder muscles and ligaments are relaxed, the patient will suffer from urinary incontinence.

A woman's uterus is located in the pelvic cavity, with the bladder in front and the rectum behind. In fact, the uterus is even suspended in the pelvic cavity, so it must rely on the surrounding tissues to support it in order to maintain a fixed position.

Uterine prolapse is caused by Qi deficiency and sinking, belt meridian dysfunction, Chong and Ren meridian deficiency, or multiple births, difficult labor, excessive force during delivery, and heavy physical labor too early after delivery, which damage the cell network and kidney Qi, resulting in the loss of maintenance of the uterus. According to its manifestations, it can be divided into three syndromes: Qi deficiency and sinking, kidney deficiency and instability, and damp-heat descending. For those with Qi deficiency and sinking, the symptoms include shortness of breath, laziness to speak, pale complexion, and empty lower abdomen; for those with kidney deficiency and instability, the symptoms include dizziness, tinnitus, sore waist and weak legs; for those with damp-heat descending, the symptoms are friction injuries caused by protruding objects, local redness, swelling and ulceration, yellow fluid dripping, swollen and painful vulva, and red and frequent urine.

What should we do about the uterine prolapse we introduced above? Because each person's body is different, we must actively treat it in a reasonable way. Generally speaking, uterine prolapse can cause numbness in the waist and legs and weakness in the body, so women must actively seek treatment.
