How to register at the hospital if anal bleeding occurs during toileting

There are many reasons for anal bleeding. When you find anal bleeding, you should calm down and stay in bed for a while, try to reduce physical activity, and then observe the amount of anal bleeding yourself. If the amount of bleeding is small or has stopped, then there is generally no big problem, but if the bleeding is excessive, you should go to the hospital for medical treatment in time. Because the anus department is rather embarrassing, many people don’t know how to register. In fact, there are many ways to register.

1. Anorectal Surgery: Patients who have bright red blood after defecation or bright red bloody stools, generally without severe abdominal pain, should go to the anorectal surgery department.

2. General Surgery: Patients with bloody stools, severe abdominal pain or even shock should be referred to the general surgery department.

3. Intestinal outpatient clinic: Patients with acute onset and bloody stools should go to the intestinal outpatient clinic.

4. Department of Gastroenterology: Patients who have black stools, dark red bloody stools, or a history of chronic colitis and frequently have bright red bloody stools should visit the Department of Gastroenterology.

5. Hematology: Patients with bloody stools and systemic bleeding tendency should be referred to the hematology department for further examination.

6. Nephrology Department: Patients with a history of nephritis and bloody stools should go to the Nephrology Department.

7. Infectious Diseases Department: Patients who have blood in their stools after having a fever and have a history of living in epidemic areas should go to the infectious diseases department.

You can choose the corresponding department according to your own situation. If you can't tell the difference, it is recommended to go to general surgery and anorectal surgery first, because most anorectal bleeding is treated by these two departments. Of course, if it is not treated by the department, the doctor will tell you to change the department and you can choose it yourself. It should be noted that if anal bleeding does occur and the amount of bleeding is heavy, you must not bear it and should go to the hospital immediately.
