Causes of back pain in six months of pregnancy

Pregnant women should pay attention to their physical condition, avoid doing heavy physical work, and try to rest at home. In the late pregnancy, as the belly grows bigger, some abnormal phenomena will occur, such as back pain. This is a very common phenomenon. So what causes back pain?

Multiparous women are less active after delivery. If you always lie or sit in bed to rest during the confinement period, coupled with weight gain and more abdominal fat, the load on the waist muscles will increase, which can easily cause lumbar muscle strain and low back pain. Not paying attention to rest after giving birth will make the body too tired. Standing, squatting, sitting for a long time or wearing a tight waistband can all lead to lumbar muscle strain and induce low back pain. Frequently feeding the baby in an improper or unrelaxed position. This will cause the waist muscles to always be in an unrelaxed state, causing damage to the waist muscles. Accidentally attacked by dampness and cold after childbirth. This causes the meridians to be blocked, resulting in poor blood circulation and causing low back pain.

After giving birth, avoid bending over frequently or standing or squatting for long periods of time, and prepare a table specifically for changing diapers or washing your baby's butt. Frequently used diapers, disposable diapers, baby powder, diaper oil and other common items should be within reach of the mother without bending over. If the table can be connected to the crib or cradle, it would be even better if there is a matching chair next to it. When cleaning the floor of the room, use long-handled tools and do not clean for too long each time, especially within 3 months after delivery. Adopt the correct posture when breastfeeding. It is better to sit on a low stool. If you sit in a higher position, you can put one foot on a footrest or lean your body on the chair. It's best to place a pillow on your lap to elevate your baby so that he can also bear the weight. Pay attention to protecting your waist in daily life, get enough sleep after delivery, change your bed position frequently, avoid lifting heavy or high objects, do not run or walk long distances too early; move your waist frequently to stretch your waist muscles. If you feel discomfort in your waist, you can massage, apply hot compress to the painful area or take a hot bath to promote blood circulation and improve the discomfort in your waist; pay attention to keeping your waist warm at ordinary times.

In fact, many women know that they should sleep on their side during pregnancy, not lying flat on their backs. After giving birth, they think they can finally sleep as comfortably as they want. In fact, this is wrong. Women in confinement should still lie on their side. If you lie flat, the still overweight uterus will fall backwards, and the ligaments that support the position of the uterus after delivery are mostly weak and have not yet restored their normal tension, making it difficult to pull the heavy uterus to the front position. Over time, the uterus inverts into a posterior position, resulting in a retroverted uterus. Mild posterior uterus is generally asymptomatic, but severe cases can cause pelvic congestion, leading to lower abdominal pain, back pain, etc.

The above introduces to us the specific reasons for lower back pain in six months of pregnancy, so we must pay more attention to it in our lives. If the lower back pain is really severe, we must rest in bed. Don’t sit too long or stand too long, as both will cause lower back pain.
