Those who are not suitable for dilation will undergo surgery. The wound will be sutured intermittently with 2-0 catgut. During the first sexual intercourse after the wound heals, 1% lidocaine ointment or lubricant should be applied to the vaginal opening to ensure successful intercourse. Of course, we cannot neglect to provide necessary sexual knowledge and technical guidance to both couples.

The normal hymen is not thick and may rupture spontaneously during the first sexual intercourse, with slight pain and a small amount of bleeding. The rupture marks will remain later as evidence of sexual intercourse. The thickened hymen makes sexual intercourse painful due to its thickness and toughness, and it is also difficult to rupture spontaneously, thus hindering the insertion of the penis. Forced sexual intercourse will cause severe pain. Under the fear of pain, the woman subconsciously does not want the penis to be inserted, so vaginal spasm may occur during sexual intercourse again. If the hymen is slightly thickened, forced sexual intercourse may cause deeper lacerations in the hymen ring or excessive bleeding.
