How many years does it take to menopause?

Female menopause refers to the decline of the ovaries and the cessation of menstruation. Menopause can be divided into two types: natural menopause and artificial menopause. Of course, menopause refers to the physiological depletion of eggs in the uterus and ovaries that triggers menopause. Artificial menopause refers to surgical removal of both uterus and ovaries or termination of ovaries by other means, such as tumor radiotherapy and radiotherapy. Independent hysterectomy while preserving one or both uterus and ovaries is not considered artificial menopause.

How many years does it take to reach menopause?

Women go through menopause after 30 years of menstruation. The age of girls' menarche is mostly between 13 and 14 years old. The early, middle and late menarche of girls is mainly controlled by genetic factors, and other factors such as nutrition and weight also play an important role. The permanent cessation of menstruation is called menopause. In my country, the average age of menopause for women is 49.5 years old, and 80% are between 44 and 54 years old. The menopausal buffer period refers to the time from the beginning of the menopausal trend to the last menstrual period.

It can start at the age of 40 and last as short as 1-2 years to the last 10-20 years. During this period, the function of the ovaries gradually declines, the number of eggs decreases significantly, and it is easy to have egg dysplasia, resulting in menstrual disorders. Finally, due to the natural depletion of eggs in the uterus and ovaries or the lack of response of the remaining eggs to the pituitary gonadotropin, ovarian decline occurs.

When women reach menopause, their uterus and ovaries gradually shrink, they no longer ovulate, and their estrogen levels drop sharply, leading to the onset of menopausal syndrome. It mainly manifests itself in the following aspects.

First, psychoneurological symptoms: Some menopausal women belong to the emotional type, which is mainly manifested by irritability, irritability, insomnia, etc.; some women belong to the depression type, which is mainly manifested by excessive anxiety, mental restlessness, memory loss and other symptoms.

Second, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. 28.9% of menopausal women have pseudo-angina, sometimes accompanied by palpitations, chest tightness and shortness of breath, etc. The occurrence of symptoms is often affected by mental factors. A decrease in estrogen may cause blood pressure to rise to a certain level.

Third, after the level of estrogen decreases, women's skin's resistance decreases, and they become dry, soft, and look old.

Fourth, the menstrual cycle is disordered, the menstrual period gradually stops, and the vagina is dry after menopause, which makes it very easy to develop senile vaginitis, the main symptoms of which are vulvar itching and odor, vaginal burning sensation, etc.

Fifth, menopausal women are very prone to osteoporosis. Some patients may experience bone pain, joint pain or local pressure pain, and trauma can easily lead to fractures.

Improve your emotional conditioning in daily life, cultivate your body and mind, maintain a stable daily life and diet, and go through menopause steadily. Female friends who are around menopause can drink jujube and black fungus soup, old hen jujube soup, longan glutinous rice porridge, etc. to nourish their bodies. In addition, they should appropriately carry out outdoor aerobic exercise to lose weight, participate in more group activities, cultivate personal hobbies, etc., to enhance the body's resistance and allow themselves to live healthily and safely into old age.
