Clinical manifestations of chocolate cyst

Clinical manifestations of chocolate cyst

Chocolate cyst is what we call endometriosis. This disease poses a great threat to women's health. And because only women have ovaries, this kind of pain is only experienced by women. Because of this, women's lives are more difficult than men's. So, how much harm does chocolate cyst do to women's bodies? Let’s take a look at the clinical manifestations of chocolate cysts.

Ovarian chocolate cysts are a type of endometriosis, a hormone-dependent disease. Western medicine treatment can control the disease by taking the medicine, but it will recur if the medicine is stopped. You can take Chinese medicine to improve symptoms, enhance therapeutic effects, and maintain the effects, waiting for natural menopause and self-healing, but regular check-ups and follow-ups are required.

Clinical manifestations:

1. Dysmenorrhea

Dysmenorrhea is the most typical symptom of endometriosis. It can occur before, during, or after your period. In severe stages, the pain is unbearable and increasing the dosage of analgesics may not even be effective. The pain is caused by internal bleeding from endometriosis stimulating local tissue inflammatory response. Endometriosis lesions secrete more prostaglandins, which causes uterine muscle contractions and makes dysmenorrhea more pronounced. After menstruation, bleeding stops and pain is relieved.

2. Abnormal menstruation

It may present as heavy menstruation or irregular menstrual cycles. Most of the menstrual abnormalities are related to the impact of endometriosis on ovarian function. Patients with endometriosis may experience ovarian dysfunction, such as abnormal ovulation.

3. Infertility

Infertility is common in women with endometriosis. Cause: Endometriosis can often cause adhesions around the fallopian tubes, affecting the pickup of oocytes; or ovarian lesions can affect ovulation.

4. Pain during sexual intercourse

Endometriosis in the rectouterine fossa and vaginal rectal septum may cause dyspareunia (deep tenderness) and frequent, painful bowel movements (tenesmus) during menstruation.

From the above introduction, chocolate cysts are an unprecedented threat to women. The uterus is the only organ for women to give birth to the next generation. Therefore, once the uterus is severely damaged, it will lose its reproductive function. This is undoubtedly a huge pressure for women. I hope women will pay more attention to the health of their uterus.
