What causes urethral pain when women urinate?

In today's society, such problems are troubling many people. What exactly causes this? We should not panic. How should we solve such problems? Now that technology is so advanced, we don't have to worry about any sequelae. Next, I will explain to you how urethral pain when urinating is caused.

Dysuria refers to pain in the urethra, bladder, and perineum during urination. The pain can be mild or severe, often feeling like a burning pain, and in severe cases it can feel like a knife cutting. Painful urination is common in urethritis, prostatitis, prostatic hyperplasia, seminal vesiculitis, cystitis, urinary tract stones, bladder tuberculosis, pyelonephritis, etc. The characteristics of urinary pain can help to clarify the diagnosis of the disease.

(1) If there is obvious pain at the beginning of urination or dysuria, the lesion is mostly in the urethra, which is common in acute urethritis.

(2) Pain at the end of urination and urgency are common in patients with acute cystitis.

(3) If there is obvious pain at the end of urination, or if there is still pain after urination, or if there is a feeling of "empty pain", or if there is pain even without urination, the lesions are mostly in the urethra or adjacent organs, such as trigone inflammation, prostatitis, etc.

(4) Sudden interruption of urination accompanied by pain or urinary retention: seen in bladder, urethral stones or urinary tract foreign bodies.

(5) Difficult urination accompanied by distension and pain: This often indicates prostate hyperplasia in elderly men and can also be seen in urethral stones.

(6) Stinging or burning pain during urination: This is common in acute inflammatory stimulation, such as acute urethritis, cystitis, prostatitis, and pyelonephritis.

Urinary tract infection is a common disease caused by bacteria invading the urinary tract. It is more common in married women and is manifested by frequent urination, urgency, and painful urination. Clinically, it is found that some middle-aged and elderly women also have symptoms such as frequent urination, urgency and even pain when urinating, and the symptoms recur repeatedly. The treatment for urinary tract infection is not effective. In fact, these patients do not suffer from urinary tract infection, which is medically called urethral syndrome or aseptic cystitis.

The cause of urethral syndrome is still unclear, but it is related to the following factors: frequent washing of the lower body with soap or disinfectant, causing adverse stimulation; frequent wearing of synthetic underwear causing allergies; inadvertent damage to the urethral mucosa during sexual intercourse; insufficient drinking of water, concentrated urine irritating the urethra; increased vaginal discharge irritating the urethral opening; decreased estrogen secretion in postmenopausal women, causing the urethral mucosa to atrophy and thin, making it more susceptible to damage. In addition, the invasion of viruses, mycoplasma and fungi is also an important cause of the disease. The pathological basis of this disease is female bladder and urethral dysfunction. Therefore, in addition to the symptoms of urinary tract infection, there may also be symptoms such as tenesmus, urethral pain after bladder emptying, etc. In severe cases, it may be accompanied by terminal hematuria and stress urinary incontinence.

After reading this, you may realize that it is not as serious as you imagined. As long as we pay attention to hygiene, there will be no bacteria. Without bacteria, the symptoms will be much better. Now that technology is so advanced, we will no longer suffer from the disease, and we will return to our healthy selves!
