What are the causes and treatments for uterine spasmodic strictures?

Everyone is familiar with the word spasm, just like muscle contraction, but everyone does not understand uterine spasm, and does not know why the uterus will spasm. This question is actually not difficult to answer. Maybe you will have spasms in other parts of your body when you are tired. The cause of uterine spasm and stenosis is roughly the same as this. Let's understand the causes and treatments of uterine spasm and stenosis.

The local muscles of the uterine muscle wall contract spasmodically, forming a narrow ring in a narrow part of the fetal body, such as the fetal neck, fetal waist, or in front of the fetal head, which is called the uterine spasm narrow ring. Because it hinders the descent of the fetus, it can cause the labor process to stop. This narrow ring often occurs at the junction of the upper and lower segments of the uterus, but it can also occur in any part of the uterus. The position of the ring does not rise with uterine contractions, so uterine rupture will not occur.

The occurrence of uterine spasmodic stenosis may be due to mental stress, excessive fatigue, inappropriate use of uterotonic drugs or intrauterine operations. It is not easy to feel the ring clearly during abdominal examination, but a hard and inelastic ring-like stenosis can be felt in the uterine cavity during vaginal examination.

When there is no obvious change in the fetus, expectant management can be adopted. At this time, the operation should be stopped and sedative and analgesic drugs, such as morphine and pethidine, should be given. After sufficient rest, the ringing will disappear on its own. If there is fetal distress, uterine contraction inhibitors such as epinephrine (1‰ epinephrine 1 ml added to 250 ml of 5-10% glucose solution, each ml contains about 4 μg, the drip rate does not exceed 5 μg/min), isoxsuprine (adrenal derivative, intravenous drip rate 0.5 μg/min), or 20 ml of 20% magnesium sulfate plus an equal amount of 5-10% glucose solution slowly dripped. The ring can also be loosened by inhalation anesthesia such as halothane and ether. 0.6 mg of glyceryl trinitrate can be taken sublingually, or 0.2 ml of amyl nitrite can be inhaled. These can sometimes relax the ring. For those who can loosen the ring, vaginal delivery can be performed after the cervix is fully dilated. When spasms cannot be relaxed, a cesarean section is required.

The causes and treatments of uterine spasmodic stenosis have been introduced to everyone. This disease cannot be ignored. When women encounter this situation, they should promptly notify their relatives and try to go to the hospital for a physical examination as soon as possible to avoid the occurrence of serious diseases, thereby reducing pain, getting treatment as soon as possible, and recovering health as soon as possible.
