Introduction to uterine fibroids

Introduction to uterine fibroids

If I hadn't just looked up relevant information, I probably wouldn't know what uterine fibroids are. Of course, everyone may be familiar with the words "uterine fibroids", and sometimes you can learn a little about them from the hospital's bulletin board. However, the disease of uterine fibroids is still very scary in my impression, and many things are memories from my childhood.

Usually, when we talk about uterine fibroids, we are referring to uterine leiomyoma, which is a common benign tumor in the female reproductive organs.

Depending on the location of growth, they can be divided into subserosal fibroids, intramural fibroids, submucosal fibroids or cervical fibroids, broad ligament fibroids, etc. Different types of uterine fibroids can show clinical manifestations such as menorrhagia, lower abdominal mass, or difficulty urinating or defecation. The age of onset is usually 35 years old among women, and about 20% of them suffer from uterine fibroids. However, because the tumor develops slowly and there are no clinical symptoms, in some cases, the disease is accidentally discovered during a physical examination, so most people do not receive earlier treatment or even no treatment.

Diet therapy for uterine fibroids:

1. 250g of Atractylodes macrocephala, 250g of Atractylodes lancea, 250g of Poria cocos, 150g of ginger, and 100 jujubes. Wash and dry the first 3 ingredients, grind them into powder and sieve them. Remove the core of the jujubes, grind the ginger into a paste and remove the ginger residue. Mix the ginger and jujube paste with the medicinal powder to make a paste. Store it for preservation and use later. Take 30g each morning and evening with rice wine.

2. 30 grams of coix root and 30 grams of old loofah (fresh), decoct in water to extract juice, add a little brown sugar for seasoning, 1 dose per day, for 5 days. 3. Tremella and lotus root powder soup: 25 grams of tremella, 10 grams of lotus root powder, and appropriate amount of rock sugar. After soaking the tremella, add appropriate amount of rock sugar and stew it, then add lotus root powder and drink. Efficacy: It has the effect of clearing heat, moistening dryness and stopping bleeding. It is suitable for those with heavy menstrual flow and bright red blood.

Although it is a childhood memory, it is still vivid. I still remember my classmate’s tear-stained face. Yes, the mother of my elementary school classmate lost her life due to this disease. Oh, no, she is not human anymore. At that time, I didn’t feel that the world was unpredictable, but I secretly felt that disease was an extremely terrifying existence.
