Understanding Second Degree Cervicitis

Understanding Second Degree Cervicitis

Cervicitis is one of the common gynecological diseases among our female friends. The main common symptom of cervicitis is cervical erosion. Different degrees of cervical erosion correspond to the medical level of cervicitis. When many female friends go to the hospital for treatment, they are often confused about the second degree cervicitis indicated on the medical diagnosis. Today, I will show you what the second degree of cervicitis is like.

Chronic cervicitis of the second degree actually has several types, such as cervical erosion, cervical polyps, and cervical cysts.

Second-degree cervicitis is equivalent to moderate cervicitis. The cervix of a normal person is round, and this circle has 12 o'clock clockwise. If you have given birth to a child, there will be a crack at 3 o'clock or 9 o'clock. If you have not given birth to a child, it will be round. The normal human vagina has an opening, called the external vaginal opening, with a diameter of 2.5 cm. The erosion surface extends from the middle opening to the outside. If the erosion area accounts for 2/3, it is degree 2. If it is 1/3, it is degree 1. If it exceeds 2/3, it is severe. How to treat it? First, a cervical smear should be done to rule out the presence of cervical lesions, then we can use medication for treatment.

According to experts, second-degree cervicitis is generally more suitable for surgical treatment. Women can treat cervicitis through physical therapy or minimally invasive treatments. The general treatment method is mainly based on the symptoms of cervicitis and the cause of cervicitis. And now surgical treatment of cervicitis is a relatively effective treatment method. Compared with drug treatment, surgical treatment is more effective and the treatment period is shorter.

For female friends suffering from cervicitis, they must pay attention to the hygiene of their uterus to avoid uterine infection. At the same time, you should also go to a regular hospital for treatment in time to avoid worsening of the disease. Otherwise, if it is allowed to develop, it may lead to more serious consequences and may even cause infertility. It will be too late for treatment at that time.
