What is the connection between the female uterus and ovaries?

Many of us know that women have uteruses and ovaries, but how much do we know about these subtle structures in the female body? I believe many friends don’t understand. Let’s take a look at the connections below.

The ovaries and uterus are closely related. Without the ovaries, the uterus is useless. The main functions of the uterus are pregnancy and menstruation, both of which can only be achieved when the ovarian function is perfect. Take pregnancy as an example. The ovaries must be able to release eggs before fertilization is possible. Although the egg "implants", develops and grows in the uterus after fertilization, without the progesterone secreted by the ovaries, miscarriage can easily occur. This is why progesterone is used in early pregnancy when there are signs of miscarriage. The action of progesterone helps the fertilized egg to "implant" and maintain pregnancy. It is not until more than three months of pregnancy, when the placenta gradually forms and produces hormones, that the hormones produced by the ovaries become less important.

The ovaries of adults are somewhat low-lying, with their long axis nearly vertical. The end of the fallopian tube is located slightly below the plane of the upper opening of the pelvis, near the external iliac vein, just opposite the sacroiliac joint. The cervical opening is downward, slightly above the pelvic floor peritoneum, and connected to the outer corner of the uterus.

The female uterus and ovaries are both important organs and are closely connected. We must pay attention to problems in these areas in our lives and do a good job of care to avoid affecting our future fertility.
