Tubal infertility

Tubal infertility

If a woman wants to get pregnant, she needs sperm and egg to combine. Sperm needs to be transmitted through the fallopian tube after entering the female body. If the fallopian tube is damaged, it will directly affect the sperm quality, and in severe cases it will lead to infertility. This is what people often call tubal infertility. This disease accounts for a large proportion of many infertility diseases. So what causes women to suffer from tubal infertility?

There are many reasons for fallopian tube infertility. Some are due to inflammation of the fallopian tubes caused by bacteria, and some are due to infertility caused by other gynecological inflammations. In short, when patients discover the disease, they must receive timely treatment. The following is an introduction to the causes of the disease.

(A) Tuberculous salpingitis is mostly secondary infection of pulmonary tuberculosis or peritoneal tuberculosis, mainly infected through the blood, and some infected through the lymphatic system and direct spread. Mycobacterium tuberculosis first infects the muscularis or submucosa, and then spreads to the mucosa and serosa, causing the fallopian tube to slightly enlarge and the tube wall to thicken. Numerous miliary nodular lesions may appear on the surface, which adhere to the surrounding areas. The fallopian tube lining is infected by Mycobacterium tuberculosis, and the mucosa is destroyed, forming caseous necrosis and adhesions.

( ii) Gonorrheal salpingitis . In recent years, it has been found that the proportion of pelvic inflammatory disease caused by chlamydia and mycoplasma infection has increased. Like gonococci, the impact on the fallopian tube is an ascending infection along the mucosa, through the endocervical canal, endometrium, and fallopian tube endometrium to the pelvic peritoneum. However, tubal infertility generally has no acute phase, and the initial symptoms of infection are mild, so it does not attract attention, and eventually leads to fallopian tube obstruction.

(3) Purulent salpingitis is seen in incomplete abortion, induced abortion and puerperal infection. The pathogenic bacteria are Staphylococcus pyogenes, Streptococcus, Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, which cause interstitial salpingitis, isthmic nodular salpingitis, hydrosalpinx and pyosalpinx.

After reading the above introduction to the causes of tubal infertility, you should know what causes the disease. For women, especially those who have not given birth, this disease has a huge impact on both the body and mind, so it is necessary to detect and treat it in time to avoid missing the best time for treatment.
