In this regard, people who love to drink tea say it is absurd, so is there any basis for this statement? Will drinking more than 4 grams of tea a day increase the overall risk of cancer? A 10-year data from the Peking University School of Medicine on 500,000 Chinese people showed that compared with people who hardly drink tea, daily tea consumption of more than 4g is associated with a 26% increase in overall cancer risk and a 29% increase in gastric cancer risk.

This study has made many people panic! Is drinking tea more likely to cause cancer? Actually, it is not true. After drawing the conclusion, the researchers conducted an analysis and found that Chinese people cannot do without cigarettes, alcohol, and tea when entertaining guests, and many people believe that drinking tea can counteract the harm of cigarettes and alcohol. Therefore, the consumption of cigarettes and alcohol in China is positively correlated with the consumption of tea.

That is to say, many people who drink tea every day also smoke and drink every day. Sure enough, after excluding the influence of smoking and drinking, the researchers found that the relationship between drinking tea and the risk of overall cancer and stomach cancer was greatly reduced.

Among people who do not smoke or drink excessively, tea drinking was not significantly associated with other cancers or overall cancer risk. It turns out that in this study, tea took the blame for smoking and drinking!

There are 500 million molds in one gram of Pu'er tea. Will drinking Pu'er tea cause cancer?

Rumor has it that one gram of Pu'er tea contains 500 million molds and aflatoxin, which is carcinogenic. Is this true?

Pu'er ripe tea is made through artificial fermentation. During the fermentation process, there will indeed be some "molds", including Aspergillus niger, Rhizopus, Aspergillus glaucoides, Penicillium and yeast, but they will not harm health.

The Guangzhou Center for Disease Control and Prevention once conducted a test in which 432 Pu'er tea samples of different prices were collected from different sales channels to conduct aflatoxin (AFB1) monitoring.

The results showed that AFB1 was not detected in any of the samples, nor were other mycotoxins found. In fact, aflatoxin will not appear in Pu'er cooked tea that has been well fermented and properly stored. Moreover, the caffeine and tannin contained in tea can also inhibit the production of aflatoxin.

Tea is good, but be careful not to drink these three kinds of tea

Since ancient times, people have used tea as a good medicine to prevent and treat diseases and prolong life. Today, more and more studies have confirmed that drinking tea has many benefits for the human body, not only reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease, but also reducing the risk of diabetes, stroke, dementia and other diseases.

A study published in Advances in Nutrition also found that drinking tea can prevent oral cancer.

Although drinking tea can promote health in many ways, there are certain ways and methods to drink tea. Some teas are harmful to the body and have no benefits. It is best not to drink these three types of tea.

1. Strong tea

Most elderly people like to drink strong tea, thinking that light tea has no taste and poor health effects, but this concept is wrong. Drinking strong tea has a negative impact on physical health. Excessive theophylline content in it may harm cardiovascular and cerebrovascular health. In addition, theophylline stimulates the central nervous system of the brain, causing excessive excitement and insomnia. Especially for the elderly, strong tea may accelerate osteoporosis. Therefore, whether young or old, you should avoid drinking strong tea, and choose light tea.
2. Over-scalding tea

Food should be eaten while it is hot, but overly hot tea can damage the oral and esophageal mucosa. Long-term drinking of overly hot tea may increase the risk of esophageal cancer, oral cancer and gastric cancer. 3. Flavored tea

Tea contains terpenes, has a porous structure and strong adsorption capacity, and can easily absorb odors from the surrounding environment and cause taste cross-talk and taste change.
If the tea is stored in an unhygienic environment, or absorbs toxic smells such as paint and camphor, it will endanger health and cause symptoms such as taste discomfort, dizziness, and nausea.

Therefore, it is not recommended to drink tea with mixed taste. When storing tea leaves daily, they should be breathable, moisture-proof, insect-proof, and odor-proof.

In addition to not drinking the above three types of tea, you should also pay attention to the following details when drinking tea for health:

1. Don’t drink tea before going to bed, as it can easily lead to insomnia and frequent urination at night.

2. Don’t drink strong tea after being drunk, as it will increase the burden on your heart and kidneys.

3. It is not advisable to drink tea immediately after a meal, otherwise it may cause indigestion and lead to dry stool.

5. Patients with gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer, chronic atrophic gastritis or arrhythmia should not drink tea, otherwise it will easily aggravate the condition.
