How dangerous is it to have an overly perky butt?

Recently I found that many people are proud of having a "perky butt", but some of them seem to have a convex front and a curved back, but it may be caused by an anterior pelvic tilt. What exactly is this anterior pelvic tilt? In fact, it is a phenomenon that the pelvis tilts forward at a certain angle. Under normal circumstances, the anterior pelvic tilt angle is between 7 and 15 degrees. If it exceeds this range, it is what we usually call "anterior pelvic tilt". Once anterior pelvic tilt occurs, the most obvious manifestations include increased physiological curvature of the lumbar spine, posterior convexity of the buttocks, convexity of the lower abdomen, and the center of gravity of the whole person will also tilt forward.

Not only does it look bad, but long-term pelvic tilt can cause the buttocks to develop laterally and sag, and can also cause round shoulders, hunchbacks, outward-facing toes, wide hips, etc., making the body disproportionate and out of shape. In addition, pelvic tilt will increase the weight on the waist, making muscle soreness more likely. Pelvic deformation can also affect the functions of some internal organs and reproductive organs, making constipation, dysmenorrhea, and menstrual discomfort more likely to occur. If the pelvic tilt is more severe, problems such as spondylolisthesis, lumbar disc herniation, and lumbar spinal stenosis may also occur.

Is there any way to determine if you have anterior pelvic tilt? We can try standing against a wall, with the head, shoulders, hips and heels pressed against the wall. If you can fit a palm between the waist and the wall, then it is basically a normal posture. But if the gap between the waist and the wall is larger than the thickness of a palm and a fist can be put in, it means that the curvature of the lumbar spine is too large, and it may be anterior pelvic tilt. Of course, this method is just a simple test for ourselves. If you want to measure it accurately, you still have to go to the hospital and let the doctor measure the pelvic tilt angle to make a judgment.
