QQ Security Center: In Q1 2023, Tencent QQ cracked down on 4.73 million illegal accounts

According to recent news, the QQ Security Center released the first quarter QQ platform ecological governance announcement, which has cracked down on a total of 4.73 million illegal accounts; among them, special crackdowns have been strengthened on illegal content such as pornography, vulgarity, false investment and financial fraud.

The QQ security team found that some users spread pornographic and vulgar harmful information on the platform, some of which involved minors, seriously infringing on the legal rights of minors. The platform has suspended 880,000 related illegal accounts. The security team cracked down on 29,000 online fraud accounts for "stock recommendation investment" and banned 299 related group chats.

Tencent released its financial report for the first quarter of 2023, with QQ mobile terminals having 597 million monthly active users, a year-on-year increase of 6%. The number of paid members of Huya, Douyu, Yuewen, QQ members, etc. totaled 19 million, a year-on-year decrease of 16 million or about 46%.
