Dell'Oro Group: The global mobile core network market will resume growth in the second quarter of 2023, and two of the four domestic operators will increase their spending

According to the second quarter RAN wireless access network report of market research firm Dell'Oro Group, due to the decline in demand, the quarter saw the largest decline in seven years, and Huawei remained the largest 5G equipment supplier after four years of suppression by the United States. According to this report, the global mobile core network market resumed growth in the second quarter of 2023 on a quarter-on-quarter basis. Two of the four domestic operators increased their spending. A total of 44 manufacturers worldwide launched 5G SA networks, with EMEA Europe and the Middle East achieving triple-digit growth.

Among several major mobile device suppliers, Ericsson and Samsung Electronics both saw a decline in RAN market share between 2022 and the first half of 2023, while Nokia saw the largest increase in revenue share during this period.

Huawei achieved its highest historical share in three years and still ranked first in mobile core networks, followed by Ericsson, Nokia and ZTE.

If we only look at the 5G mobile core network, the ranking is Huawei, Ericsson, ZTE and Nokia.
