What does intrauterine anechoic area mean?

What does intrauterine anechoic area mean?

A word often appears in the B-ultrasound examination details of obstetrics and gynecology: no echo zone. Many non-medical professionals do not understand this term, or even misunderstand it, causing unnecessary worry and fear. The no-echo zone is fluid mechanics. The silent state of the right ovary is the egg. Only when the diameter of the egg is 18 to 24 mm is the ovulation period normal. If the egg is too large or too small, the ovulation period is also abnormal. So, does it mean that there is an intrauterine pregnancy if there is an echo area in the uterus? What does it mean if there is no echo area in the uterine cavity?

What does the anechoic area in the uterine cavity mean?

There are many reasons for the presence of an echo-free area in the uterine cavity. For example, when there is an endocrine hormone imbalance, it will lead to hyperplasia of the uterine wall and cause the occurrence of uterine intrauterine polyps. When there are uterine intrauterine polyps, the presence of an echo-free area in the uterine cavity can be detected in a relatively small case. For example, when there are submucosal uterine fibroids, there will be echoless shadows in the uterine cavity. And when there is endometrial exfoliation, failure to completely exfoliate will lead to uneven echoes of the endometrium, and there will also be echoless shadows in the uterine cavity. When there is pregnancy, if it is in the early stage and the gestational sac has not yet formed, there will be a shadow of no echo in the uterine cavity. Moreover, after pregnancy, there will be a certain amount of blood accumulation around the gestational sac, which will also cause a shadow of no echo in the uterine cavity. It is recommended to return for another check-up as soon as possible 3 days after the next menstrual period to determine the nature of the condition. At the same time, if you are not pregnant, a hysteroscopy can be performed to determine the nature of the condition.

Symptoms of the anechoic area of the uterine cavity are usually differentiated by combining blood hCG or urine hCG tests. If the hCG test result of blood or urine is positive, it means that the patient is pregnant. If no echo area is found in the uterine cavity after the pregnancy test, it may be that the patient has not had menstruation for a short time and a complete gestational sac has not yet been formed. Therefore, the B-ultrasound is not very clear and the uterine cavity will be reported as no echo area. In addition, there is also a possibility that the anechoic area may be caused by the in vitro fertilization itself being underdeveloped and unable to form a complete gestational sac, in which case anechoic areas may also appear.

Does the presence of an echogenic area in the uterus necessarily mean an intrauterine pregnancy?

If there is an echogenic area in the uterus, intrauterine pregnancy must be considered, but it cannot be ruled out that it is caused by excessive blood accumulation in the uterine cavity. The most likely reason is that the pregnancy time is too short, the gestational sac is not fully developed, and the yolk sac has not yet developed in the gestational sac. Therefore, it cannot be concluded that the presence of an echogenic area in the uterus is definitely an intrauterine pregnancy. It is recommended to increase nutrition and rest in the early stages of pregnancy, and the pregnancy can be checked by B-ultrasound within a week or ten days. If it is an intrauterine pregnancy, it is enough to increase nutrition and rest in the early stages of pregnancy.

So, during this period, you need to pay attention to the following:

1. Avoid contact with harmful substances. Couples planning to have a baby should make every effort to avoid contact with harmful substances, such as X-rays, lead, pesticides, etc.

2. Both husband and wife should quit smoking and drinking. Studies have shown that if pregnant parents smoke and drink, it will affect the health of the fetus, and smoking and drinking are more harmful to pregnant women. This may cause fetal malformation and greatly increase the possibility of miscarriage and premature birth. Pregnant women should also drink less coffee, because drinking too much coffee will also increase the possibility of miscarriage.

3. Strictly control the safety of drugs. If couples who are preparing for pregnancy want to get pregnant, they should adopt a cautious attitude towards drugs during pregnancy. If they must take drugs, they must do so under the guidance of a doctor, especially under special medical care, and choose drugs that are recognized to be safe and harmless to the fetus.
