Can I test for pregnancy if my period comes in 3 days?

Many women are anxious when preparing for pregnancy and hope to get pregnant as soon as possible. Therefore, after the ovulation period, pregnancy test sticks should be used for testing. However, if the time is too short, the test results will not be so accurate and it is likely that pregnancy will not be detected. So, can I detect pregnancy during my period for three days?

Women can detect pregnancy a few days before their period. However, since the pregnancy period is still too short, the information may show a weak positive. This type of result cannot confirm pregnancy, so you need to wait a few days and test again. It usually takes 6-8 days for the embryo to implant. It is still a little early to do a pregnancy test a few days before the menstrual period after having sex after ovulation.

Generally, it takes 11-13 days after ovulation and intercourse for a woman to detect whether she is pregnant. If a woman is in a hurry, she can go to the hospital for examination. Based on the blood test, you can accurately know whether you are pregnant. In addition, B-ultrasound examination can also be performed, which can also detect pregnancy.

If a woman finds out she is pregnant through a pregnancy test stick, she still needs to go to the hospital to confirm it. And you should pay attention to your body's progesterone index. If the progesterone level is low, you may have a miscarriage. At this time, you need to seek medical treatment immediately to restore your progesterone levels as soon as possible to avoid miscarriage.

An early pregnancy blood test checks the amount of human chorionic gonadotropin in your blood, not your urine. Blood tests can detect very small amounts of male hormones, so they can detect pregnancy earlier than urine tests (usually about 6 to 8 days after ovulation). But these can only be done by doctors. However, unless you have urgent medical reasons and want to know whether you are pregnant as soon as possible, such as artificial assisted pregnancy, poor pregnancy history and need to preserve the fetus as soon as possible, the doctor is unlikely to conduct this kind of examination for you.

Other ways to test pregnancy

Type B ultrasound examination: First, in the 5th week of pregnancy, which is one week after the menstrual period, a circular high score in the uterus can be displayed on the Type B ultrasound screen, also known as the pregnancy ring. The shadow inside the ring is the amniotic fluid of the pregnant woman, and the regular fetal heartbeat can also be seen in it. Using B-ultrasound to diagnose early pregnancy is the most appropriate and reliable way.

Ovulation temperature measurement: Some women measure their body temperature every morning after waking up for contraceptive measures or because of infertility. The body temperature at this time is called ovulation temperature. Generally, the body temperature before ovulation is below 36.5 degrees. After ovulation, the body temperature rises by 0.3-0.5 degrees and persists for 12-16 days, with an average of 14 days. If the high temperature curve of the body temperature during ovulation lasts for more than 18 days, it can be confirmed that you are pregnant.
