What will happen if you have sex before your period is over?

We all know that when a woman is menstruating, she cannot have sex, because it is very harmful to women. However, some women have sex after their menstruation is not clean, because they think their menstruation is about to end. However, this is also a dangerous practice. So what will happen if you have sex during menstruation?

If you have sex before the menstrual period is over, it is very easy for women to get pelvic inflammatory disease, endometritis or other gynecological inflammations. It may also cause abnormal phenomena such as increased menstrual bleeding time and increased menstrual periods. In this case, you need to take some anti-inflammatory drugs immediately after intercourse to prevent infection.

Under normal circumstances, during menstruation, the cervix of a woman is stretched. If she has sex at this time, her uterus is very likely to be infected by external bacteria, which will then enter her reproductive system and cause gynecological inflammation. In addition, having sex during menstruation may also cause infection of the male reproductive organs and allergic symptoms.

It is also not suitable to have sex when the menstrual period just ended, because the uterine wall of women has not been completely repaired after the menstrual period has just ended. If it is injured or impacted during sex, it is easy to cause bleeding again. Moreover, having sex before the menstrual period is over will keep the vagina in a state of low immunity and cause other complications.

You can't have sex during your period

The first reason why women cannot have sex during their menstrual period is to prevent urinary tract infection.

When a woman has her period, the uterine wall (the layer of tissue inside the uterus) falls off piece by piece. When women have sex during their menstrual period, it is very easy for bacteria around the private parts and perineum (the area between the vulva and the anus) to be brought into the vagina, cervix and even into the uterus. The bacteria happen to grow and multiply in the bloody area, causing inflammation on the spot, which is called endometritis. Not only does it cause fever and lower abdominal pain, but it also causes increased menstrual bleeding and longer periods.

If the infected bacteria are highly virulent, they may spread through the lymphatic vessels of the uterine wall to the outside of the uterus and into the pelvis, causing acute adnexitis (including bilateral fallopian tubes and uterus and ovaries) and pelvic peritonitis. This will not only cause fever and abdominal pain, but may also affect future fertility. Once both sides of the fallopian tubes become inflamed, adhesions may occur, causing severe tubal obstruction. Male sperm cannot pass through and pregnancy is impossible.

The second reason why women cannot have sex during menstruation is to prevent the uterine wall from flowing back into the pelvis and causing endometriosis (under normal circumstances, the uterine wall flows out with the menstrual blood during menstruation)

If you have sex during your menstrual period, when women reach the peak of excitement, the uterus will contract. At this time, the endometrial debris that has fallen into the uterus can enter the fallopian tubes along the fallopian tubes into the abdomen and pelvis. No matter where they fall into and develop, endometriosis will occur.

This disease can cause adhesions between the fallopian tubes, uterus and pelvis, and can also cause hypertrophy of the ovarian surface and blood retention, which can destroy the normal growth and development of oocytes and affect ovulation, and ultimately lead to infertility. Therefore, the menstrual period is not suitable for sexual life.

In short, sexual life during menstruation is harmful to women's health, and adolescent women should pay special attention to it. At this point, both parties should not seek temporary happiness and leave lifelong regrets.
