2. Most of them are caused by inflammation, and a very small number are caused by ectopic pregnancy, pelvic abscess, chocolate cyst, and ovarian cancer.

3. If pelvic effusion is not treated promptly, it can easily lead to other symptoms, such as pelvic adhesions, fallopian tube obstruction, etc., leading to infertility. Lower abdominal distension and pain, lumbosacral pain, and leucorrhea are its most important manifestations. Gynecological examinations often show lower abdominal tenderness, cord-like enlargement and thickening, etc. Considering chronic pelvic inflammatory disease, active treatment is needed to prevent aggravation of inflammation and increase of blood accumulation.

Pelvic effusion symptoms

1. Feeling of falling, pain in the lower abdomen and lumbar sacral region

The clinical symptoms are a feeling of heaviness, pain on one or both sides of the lower abdomen, adhesion of scars caused by inflammation, and pelvic congestion, which can cause heaviness and pain in the lower abdomen and soreness in the lumbar region. It is often more serious when tired, after sexual intercourse, and before and after menstruation.

2. Decreased immunity

Symptoms are mostly mild but not obvious, with mild fever and fatigue. Some patients feel listless and suffer from insomnia.

3. Menstrual disorders

Because patients with pelvic congestion may have increased menstrual periods; when the ovaries are damaged, there may be menstrual disorders; when the fallopian tubes are blocked by adhesions, it can cause female infertility.

4. Infertility

Infertility is the most common symptom of pelvic effusion. If a female friend suffers from inflammation that causes blockage of the fallopian tubes, infertility will occur. Generally, during clinical examination, it will be found that the patient's uterus is in a retroverted position, which restricts its movement, or adhesions have occurred.

5. Lower abdominal pain

If a female friend suffers from pelvic effusion, she will have symptoms such as adhesion and pelvic bleeding due to chronic flow. Some will also have symptoms such as lower abdominal pain, bloating, and heaviness. The pain symptoms will be aggravated especially after fatigue or sexual intercourse.
