Heavy bleeding the next day after eating mifepristone

Heavy bleeding the next day after eating mifepristone

Mifepristone is an anti-progestin drug, mainly used for contraception, but contraceptives have many side effects. Excessive use of mifepristone can cause heavy bleeding and infertility, and menstrual disorders can occur after taking mifepristone. If a woman experiences heavy bleeding the next day after taking mifepristone, this is caused by the side effects of the drug. Women need to pay attention to vaginal hygiene, avoid catching cold, and eat some blood-enriching foods.

Most women will experience bleeding symptoms after taking birth control pills, but a few will not experience any reaction after taking them. The reason for this symptom is that after taking birth control pills, the body will react to the drug and then withdrawal bleeding will occur. This is a normal phenomenon, so there is no need to worry too much about bleeding after using birth control pills. During this period, just pay attention to personal hygiene, do not catch cold, keep warm, and refrain from having sex during this period.

Mifepristone is an anti-progestin drug and may cause some side effects after taking it, such as temporary delay of menstruation, endocrine disorders, menstrual disorders, etc. Therefore, you must pay special attention after taking the medicine. As long as the amount of bleeding does not exceed the normal menstrual volume, there is no problem. Mifepristone should not be taken for a long time, and it is best not to take it more than three times within a year. Excessive use can easily cause certain harm to the female body.

Although it is not advisable to take too much mifepristone, taking it once or twice in case of occasional contraceptive failure will not have any effect on the body, so there is no need to worry too much. If you do not want a baby, it is recommended to take effective contraceptive measures or oral contraceptives, which will cause much less harm to women's bodies. During the bleeding period after taking mifepristone, you must pay attention to your diet and avoid eating raw, cold, or irritating foods to avoid increasing the amount of bleeding. Women can drink more lemon water or honey water, which is very beneficial to the female body. Remember that women who have sexual life must have a gynecological examination every year.

Precautions when taking mifepristone tablets

1. For those who are confirmed to be pregnant early, the number of days of amenorrhea should not exceed 49 days. The shorter the pregnancy period, the better the effect.

2. Mifepristone tablets must be used in emergency situations, during curettage and surgery, and during infusion or blood transfusion. This medicine must not be sold in pharmacies.

3. Before taking the medicine, the patient must be informed in detail of the therapeutic effects and possible side effects. If heavy bleeding or other abnormal conditions occur during treatment or follow-up, seek medical attention promptly.

4. After taking the medicine, a small amount of vaginal bleeding will generally occur early, and some women will experience longer bleeding after miscarriage. A small number of early pregnant women may have a spontaneous abortion after taking mifepristone tablets. About 80% of pregnant women expel the chorionic follicle within 6 hours after using prostaglandins, and about 10% of pregnant women expel the products of pregnancy within a week after taking the medicine.

5. You should go to the original treatment unit for a follow-up visit 8 to 15 days after taking the medicine to determine the abortion effect. If necessary, B-ultrasound examination or blood HCG measurement should be performed. If it is confirmed to be incomplete abortion or continued pregnancy, timely treatment should be given.

6. If the use of this product fails to terminate early pregnancy, artificial abortion must be performed to terminate the pregnancy.
