Is the menstrual cycle counted from the beginning or the end?

In fact, many female friends do not understand how to calculate the menstrual cycle. They don’t know whether to calculate it based on the day the menstruation starts or the day it ends. The calculation of the menstrual cycle is to better judge whether the menstruation is normal and whether there is any menstrual disorder. Because the menstrual cycle of healthy female friends is regular, so friends should pay more attention.

How to calculate the menstrual cycle most accurately

The first step is to determine the exact time when we start counting our menstrual cycle. In order to calculate the menstrual cycle, we must first determine which day to start counting from. There is an obvious misunderstanding here, that is, whether to count from the day the menstruation starts or the day the menstruation ends. The accurate calculation should be based on the day your period starts. For example, if your period starts on February 6th and ends on February 10th. Then it should be counted from February 6th.

The second step is to calculate the N1 part of your menstrual cycle. What is N1? It is the number of days in your menstrual cycle in the month of your last menstruation. Using the same example as above, your last period started on February 6th. Now we check the calendar and find that there are 28 days in February 2014. Then, we can calculate N1 = 28 - 6 = 22 (days), which means your menstrual cycle lasted a total of 22 days in February 2014.

The third step is to calculate the N2 part of your menstrual cycle. What is N2? It is the number of days in your menstrual cycle during the month when you have your period. Let's use the above example again. If your period starts on March 4th, then we can calculate N2 = 4 -1 = 3 (days). Why subtract 1? Because March 4th should be included in your next menstrual cycle.

The fourth step is to add N1 to N2, that is, N1 + N2 = 22 +3 = 25 days. This is the exact value of the menstrual cycle we want to calculate. That is to say, in this example, your menstrual cycle starts on February 6, 2014 and ends on March 4, 2014, and your menstrual cycle is 25 days.

The above is the most accurate way to calculate the menstrual cycle that the editor introduced to you. This is because these methods can calculate the cycle very accurately even if it is not prepared. But what the editor wants to tell you is that you should not simply think that you have irregular periods and go to the hospital for a check-up. You still have to observe for a few more months. What if it is just like that for one month?
