Is it normal to have a lump in the breast structure?

The structure of female breast tissue is very complex, so there are many breast diseases clinically that will have a relatively large impact on women's health. Some women find lumps in the breast structure when massaging their breasts. The reasons for the formation of the lumps are relatively complicated and it cannot be ruled out that this is an abnormal condition. So is it normal to have lumps in the breast structure?

1. There are no lumps in normal breasts. The structure of an adult female's breast is composed of adipose tissue and mammary gland tissue. It is soft and elastic, has a uniform texture, and feels lump-free when touched. If you find a lump in the breast tissue when you touch it, you should go to the hospital immediately for a color Doppler ultrasound examination to determine whether there is a breast disease. If color ultrasound examination confirms that there is a lump in the breast, surgical treatment is required to remove the lump. A rapid pathological biopsy will also be performed during the operation. If the rapid pathological examination confirms that it is breast cancer, comprehensive treatment such as radiotherapy and chemotherapy will be required.

2. Breast lumps are mostly proliferating glands, clinically known as cystic breast hyperplasia, which is also the most common benign breast disease in women. It is caused by an imbalance in the ratio of estrogen and progesterone in the body, which can cause excessive proliferative and incomplete involution of the breast parenchyma. The main clinical manifestations are breast pain and lumps, and diffuse enlargement of the breast glands can be felt during physical examination. If clinical symptoms of pain occur, oral Xiaoyao Pills, Rutai Capsules, etc. can be considered to relieve symptoms. Severe patients also need to take oral tamoxifen, but long-term use should be avoided. In daily life, you should also maintain a happy mood, avoid tension and anxiety, and avoid eating high-calorie foods and foods containing exogenous hormones, such as strong tea, coffee, cola, fried chicken, hamburgers, etc.

3. If female comrades find a lump in their breast, they should generally go to the hospital to see a breast specialist for timely treatment. When seeing a specialist, the first thing to do is to distinguish whether it is a thickening of the breast gland or a real breast tumor. If you find it difficult to distinguish the two after seeing a specialist, the specialist will recommend some corresponding examinations, such as a breast color Doppler examination or a breast X-ray mammography examination. What's more, as medical conditions improve, you can do a breast MRI examination. In this case, we can generally distinguish whether the breast lump is a benign lump or a malignant lump, or whether it is truly caused by the development and thickening of the breast gland.
