Cauliflower growing at the vaginal opening

Cauliflower growing at the vaginal opening

Many female friends are very frightened when they find cauliflower-like things growing at the opening of their vagina, worrying that they may have a serious illness. The appearance of cauliflower-like changes in the vagina may be caused by infection, such as local infection, vulvitis, genital warts, etc. Friends who experience such symptoms should seek medical attention in a timely manner for examination and diagnosis, and then receive appropriate treatment.

How is the vagina infected when it appears cauliflower-like? The following reasons may cause women to experience vulvar itching, small red bumps and cauliflower-like symptoms:

1. Local infection: Women's vulvar skin is generally very delicate. Some skin diseases, bad hygiene habits or chemical stimulation may easily cause local infection of women's delicate vulvar skin and symptoms such as vulvar itching and small red bumps.

2. Diseases such as vulvitis: It can be generally considered that candidal vaginitis, vaginitis or vulvitis is the primary cause of vulvar itching and small red bumps, but it is not the cause of this symptom.

3. Genital warts: also known as genital warts or venereal warts, the pathogen is human papillomavirus. The virus is a DNA virus with high host and tissue specificity. It only invades human skin and mucous membranes and not animals. The virus is inoculated into the local area through minor damage to the skin and mucous membranes. After a certain incubation period, bumps, cauliflower-shaped, and cockscomb-shaped growths appear on the genitals.

The appearance of small granulations and cauliflower-like shapes at the female vaginal opening is mostly caused by human papillomavirus infection. Since human papillomavirus is highly contagious and harmful, it must be given enough attention.

1. Easy to relapse: Generally speaking, human papillomavirus relapse often occurs within 3 months after treatment. As time goes by, the patient's infectiousness decreases and the possibility of recurrence also decreases. Therefore, patients should go to the hospital at any time to check their condition, use medications rationally, and do not change medications blindly.

2. Causes infertility: Human papillomavirus is non-contagious after treatment and does not affect pregnancy and fertility. After regular treatment, if the symptoms disappear and the recurrence rate is low one year later, the patient can consider getting married and having children. Therefore, if you suffer from this disease, you must go to a regular hospital for treatment.

3. Recurrent attacks: Difficult to treat. Some patients have recurrent attacks after treatment, which may be related to subclinical infection, latent infection or reinfection. After multiple treatments, most recurrences can be controlled. There are also a few patients who carry the virus for a long time. After a period of time, the virus can be suppressed or even disappear due to the improvement of the body's immune status.

4. Highly contagious: The infection rate of human papillomavirus patients through single contact is as high as 60%, and it is common in areas that are easily damaged during sexual intercourse. However, clinically, not all contacts develop HPV infection, which may be related to the amount of virus contacted and the patient's illness stage.
