Transparent leucorrhea is a sign of pregnancy

The condition of leucorrhea can largely reflect the health of women's private parts. Therefore, women must pay more attention to their leucorrhea in daily life. If there is any abnormality in leucorrhea, they need to go to the hospital for routine leucorrhea examination or other gynecological examination in time. So, does transparent and stringy leucorrhea mean that a woman is pregnant? The following will introduce relevant knowledge to you!

1. If I don’t have my period and my leucorrhea is transparent and stringy, does that mean I’m pregnant?

When there are changes in leucorrhea, it also means some physiological changes in women. For example, there are some changes in leucorrhea after women become pregnant. So, what changes are there in leucorrhea in early pregnancy? Let's take a look.

1. It's like egg white or the clear nasal discharge you get in cold weather. As the cervix begins to thin and dilate, it may be discharged, and this vaginal discharge may look like egg white or clear nasal discharge on a cold day.

2. The amount of leucorrhea increases. After pregnancy, most expectant mothers will notice a significant increase in vaginal discharge. This is because after pregnancy, the estrogen level in your body will increase significantly, and the amount of vaginal discharge will increase with the increase in estrogen levels in your body.

3. There are some changes in leucorrhea. As you get closer to giving birth, you may notice that your vaginal discharge is larger and may seem different than your usual discharge. Early in your pregnancy, cervical secretions fill your cervical canal, forming a protective barrier.

Increased vaginal discharge is also considered by some expectant mothers to be a sign of pregnancy. However, not every expectant mother will experience an increase in vaginal discharge in the early stages of pregnancy. Some people even have very little vaginal discharge. Therefore, changes in leucorrhea in early pregnancy should not be a sign of pregnancy.

2. Early pregnancy check

After pregnancy, the corpus luteum of the ovary secretes a large amount of estrogen and progesterone to maintain the implantation and development of the fertilized egg. After 12 weeks, the placenta is formed, which gradually replaces the corpus luteum and continues to synthesize large amounts of estrogen and progesterone. Therefore, the pregnant woman's body always maintains a high estrogen and progesterone state. In the early stages of pregnancy, pregnant women are affected by a sharp increase in hormones, which leads to hyperplasia and hypertrophy of the vaginal mucosa and increased secretion of the endocervical glands, causing more than 90% of pregnant women to have an increase in vaginal secretions.

If the vulva does not itch and the leucorrhea does not have an odor, it is a normal physiological phenomenon. Just keep the area clean and dry. If you experience vulvar itching and pain, yellow leucorrhea with a strange or foul smell, you need to go to the hospital for treatment. This may be caused by vulvar or vaginal disease.

3. Precautions in early pregnancy

Because pregnant women are carrying a fetus, their own immunity will be reduced to avoid rejection of the fetus, but they are relatively susceptible to infection by microorganisms such as Candida. Therefore, if the secretions are abnormal in color, have an odor, and the vulva is itchy, seek medical attention immediately. If left unchecked, it may affect the growth and development of the fetus.
