How to treat ovarian cysts with minimally invasive surgery

Ovarian cysts are also an increasingly common reproductive problem. If an ovarian cyst is not treated in time, it will grow larger and even damage other ovarian tissues, affecting a woman's normal reproductive function. In the early stages of ovarian cyst disease, doctors generally recommend that women undergo minimally invasive surgery. How is minimally invasive surgery for ovarian cysts performed?

Regarding surgery for ovarian cysts, the best currently available is minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery. Laparoscopic ovarian cyst removal surgery only requires three 3-5mm puncture holes, no suturing or stitch removal, no scars, beautiful appearance, quick recovery, and little impact. This surgery is generally suitable for ovarian cysts with a diameter greater than 5 cm. For cysts with smaller diameters, you can consider continuing to observe and go to the hospital's gynecology department for regular check-ups every 3 months to 6 months. Find out whether the cyst has grown. If it has, surgery is of course the main option. Patients with ovarian cysts should pay attention to a healthy diet, eat less high-fat and high-sugar foods, and actively exercise.

Menstrual disorders. Generally, ovarian cysts, even bilateral ovarian cysts, do not cause menstrual disorders because they do not destroy all normal ovarian tissue. Some uterine bleeding is not endocrine, but may be caused by ovarian tumors, which change the pelvic blood vessel distribution and cause endometrial congestion; or by ovarian malignant tumors directly metastasizing to the endometrium. Menstrual disorders caused by endocrine tumors are often combined with other secretory effects.

Compression symptoms. Huge ovarian tumors can cause dyspnea and palpitations due to compression of the diaphragm. Ovarian tumors combined with large amounts of ascites can also cause these symptoms. However, the dyspnea of some ovarian tumor patients is caused by unilateral or bilateral pleural effusions. And they are often combined with ascites to form the so-called TCM syndrome differentiation theory, which believes that the treatment of ovarian cysts should start with soothing the liver and regulating qi, activating blood circulation and removing blood stasis, softening and dispersing masses, and strengthening the body to fully regulate the endocrine system to activate qi and blood and activate the internal organs.

Increased abdominal circumference and abdominal mass. It is the most common phenomenon in the chief complaint. The patient finds that his clothes or belt seem tight and small, and then he notices that his abdomen is enlarged, or he feels it accidentally in the morning, so he presses his abdomen and finds a tumor in the abdomen, coupled with abdominal distension and discomfort.

stomach ache. If the tumor has no complications, there is very little pain. Therefore, if patients with ovarian tumors feel abdominal pain, especially if it occurs suddenly, it is mostly due to torsion of the tumor pedicle, or occasionally due to tumor rupture, bleeding or infection. In addition, malignant cysts often cause abdominal pain and leg pain, and the pain often causes patients to seek emergency treatment.
