The difference between caesarean section and natural birth

Caesarean section and natural birth are two different methods of delivery. Caesarean section will leave a scar on the mother's belly, and the pregnancy cannot exceed 3 babies. It is easy to get wound infection and gastrointestinal digestion decline, but it can reduce the pain caused by delivery and the symptoms of dystocia. This is why many women choose Caesarean section. After these two methods of delivery, the mother needs a month to recuperate. You can take a look at the difference between the two methods of confinement.

1. The diet during confinement is different: First of all, expectant mothers after caesarean section need to fast appropriately. The anesthetic effect in the body will completely disappear 6 hours after delivery. After the anus is discharged, that is, the intestinal peristalsis is restored, they can eat some sugar-free, easily digestible semi-liquid food. The confinement diet should be adopted in a step-by-step manner to ensure that the body's nutritional intake is reasonable and balanced. Vegetables, fruits, etc. containing vitamins and minerals should account for an appropriate proportion in the diet. Do not eat greasy and indigestible food too early to prevent it from affecting the recovery of surgical wounds. Expectant mothers who give birth naturally do not need to fast. In order to restore physical strength and produce milk as soon as possible after delivery, they can eat some easily digestible food and drink appropriate amount of water to promote urination within 4-6 hours after delivery.

2. The postpartum care methods are different: In order to promote wound recovery and lochia discharge, expectant mothers who have undergone cesarean section need to rest in a supine position without a pillow within 6 hours after the operation. They can change to a semi-recumbent or lateral position only after 6 hours. After the catheter is removed after 24 hours, they should get out of bed and move around appropriately. At the same time, they should avoid traction on the wound area and do not take a bath too early to cause local water exposure. Expectant mothers who give birth naturally can rest in a comfortable position at ordinary times, and can get out of bed and move around appropriately 6-8 hours after delivery. However, expectant mothers who have episiotomy in the perineum should also be careful to avoid pressure on the wound when sitting, and try to adopt a position to avoid lochia contaminating the wound when lying down to rest.

This is an introduction to the differences between natural birth and caesarean section and confinement period. I believe that after reading this, you will have a better understanding of this knowledge. Finally, I would like to remind everyone that whether it is a natural birth or a caesarean section, you should maintain a good mental state to prevent catching cold. It is best to wear a belly belt after delivery to help the body return to normal as soon as possible.
