When stretch marks first appear, they are pink or purple wavy patterns of varying widths and lengths. Their color will gradually deepen with the weeks of pregnancy, so they will look black when delivery is imminent. Once stretch marks appear, they are difficult to disappear, and it takes at least a year for them to fade.

After a pregnant woman gives birth, the hormones in her body slowly return to normal, her abdomen gradually becomes smaller, and stretch marks will slowly fade. However, this process takes a long time, at least more than a year. Some stretch marks may even leave permanent marks that need to be faded through laser, dermabrasion, and other methods.

How to help stretch marks fade away

1. Apply olive oil

Olive oil is rich in vitamin E, which can effectively remove wrinkles, make the skin more delicate, and help fade stretch marks. Therefore, it is recommended that expectant mothers pour an appropriate amount of olive oil on their hands every day, then apply it to the areas with stretch marks, and massage in a clockwise direction for 10 minutes.

2. Apply egg white

Mixing egg white and olive oil and applying it to the areas with stretch marks is also very effective in fading stretch marks. The method is similar to applying olive oil.

3. Eat more foods rich in vitamin C

Vitamin C can lighten scars and whiten the skin, so eating more foods rich in vitamin C can also remove stretch marks. It is recommended to eat more fruits and vegetables such as tomatoes, oranges, kiwis, strawberries, and apples.

4. Exercise appropriately

Exercise can not only consume excess body fat, but also improve skin condition and promote the fading of stretch marks. Therefore, you should do more physical exercise, such as running, yoga, etc.

5. Laser elimination

Women who have the conditions can use laser or dermabrasion to help eliminate stretch marks.
