What to do if you have heartburn in early pregnancy

Gastric disease has always been a serious disease that has troubled people, especially for the special group of pregnant women. Heartburn during pregnancy is very painful and unbearable. Because pregnant women are more picky about their taste, they cannot eat too cold or greasy food. If this adverse situation occurs, you must immediately improve your daily diet. You can drink a glass of hot milk before going to bed. Hot milk can protect the gastric mucosa, and slowly adjusting your condition will have obvious results.

1. Avoid overeating, because the more stomach contents there are, the easier it is for them to reflux into the esophagus.

2. Do not eat two hours before going to bed and avoid lying in bed within 1 hour after a meal to prevent stomach contents from refluxing into the esophagus as the body position changes.

3. Expectant mothers should not smoke, because smoking will accelerate the secretion of gastric acid and will also have adverse effects on the baby's development.

4. Do not exercise within two hours after a meal, because exercising shortly after a meal may aggravate heartburn.

5. Get close to "stomach-nourishing" diet: Milk can protect the gastric mucosa and is an ideal drink for expectant mothers, but be careful not to drink milk on an empty stomach to prevent gastrointestinal bloating. Eat some starchy foods first, such as biscuits, steamed buns, etc.; pasta has a better stomach-nourishing effect, so you can change rice into pasta; jujube, tofu, cabbage, carrots, yam, lotus seeds, etc. are all spleen and stomach-nourishing foods, so you can eat more of them appropriately; drink a small glass of water after a meal to dilute and flush away the stomach acid that refluxes to the esophagus and relieve heartburn.

6. Stay away from "stomach-damaging" foods: The caffeine in tea and coffee can relax the esophageal sphincter and aggravate the reflux of gastric acid, so they should be avoided; high-fat foods are difficult to digest and tend to stay in the stomach for a long time, increasing the possibility of reflux of gastric contents, so they should be eaten less; alcohol has a greater irritation to the gastric mucosa and can aggravate the damage to the gastric mucosa, and alcohol can affect the normal development of the baby, so expectant mothers should never drink alcohol; chili, pepper, and mustard are all highly irritating foods, so expectant mothers are advised to say goodbye to them temporarily; carbonated drinks can cause abdominal distension and promote gastric acid reflux, so expectant mothers should drink less.
