How long after a miscarriage can the test be

Friends who have had an abortion will find that they can still detect the possibility of pregnancy after the abortion, but they have already had an abortion. This is because there are still certain hormones remaining in the body, so when tested, these hormones are present in the urine, and pregnancy is detected. Therefore, do not test too early after an abortion. You can observe for a while and then test after your body recovers. The possibility of accidental pregnancy again after an abortion cannot be ruled out.

This depends on your menstrual cycle.

Because the early pregnancy test method is the simplest and most convenient way to determine whether you are pregnant. Its mechanism is the qualitative determination of human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) in urine. However, you still need to pay attention to these matters when using it to get accurate results.

1. Time of testing.

Because HCG usually appears in the urine a few days after the fertilized egg implants, and it must reach a certain amount to be detected. Therefore, for women with normal menstruation, HCG can only be detected in the urine after the menstruation is delayed. Women with long menstrual cycles or abnormal ovulation can only be detected after 40-44 days of amenorrhea. So it should be considered in conjunction with your menstrual cycle.

2. Diluted urine. Drinking too much water can dilute your urine and cause a false-negative result.

3. Conducting the test in the morning or evening may have a certain impact on the results. The highest HCG value is usually found in the morning urine, so many instructions recommend testing in the morning, but this is not absolute.

4. When testing, pay attention to the length of the test paper immersed in urine. Sometimes the length of urine that covers the test strip is too long, making the test result difficult to interpret.

5. Do not use test results to determine whether you are pregnant if you have had a recent pregnancy. Because HCG can remain positive for a long period of time after termination of pregnancy (after delivery, spontaneous abortion and induced abortion).

6. Some diseases and drugs may cause false positive results. Some tumor cells, such as hydatidiform mole, choriocarcinoma, bronchial carcinoma and renal cancer, can also secrete HCG.

7. Do not use expired test strips. Because chemical reagents lose their effectiveness over time, pay attention to the production date when purchasing.

8. Do not use test paper that has been damp.

To get the correct result, it is best to take the pregnancy test when your period is two weeks late. If the test result is negative and your period still hasn't come after 1 week, you should do it again.
