What to do if my neck hurts from breastfeeding

Only the correct breastfeeding method can prevent the baby from crying. If the breastfeeding method is incorrect, the baby may easily experience bloating after drinking milk. Therefore, the mother will maintain a fixed posture during breastfeeding in order to create a good breastfeeding environment for the baby. This also causes some mothers to experience neck pain when breastfeeding. Is there any way to relieve it?

1. Sit upright

Recognize the importance of mothers in breastfeeding. We can also use a pillow at the back for more comfort. Alternatively, you can use a breastfeeding pillow. By sitting up straight, we can protect our lower back so we don't feel pain.

"Push the shoulders to support the neck and upper back. Keep the arms open to avoid tendon and wrist pain in the child. Don't forget to keep both feet on the floor. Hold the baby toward the mother and let the mother lean toward him," said Ye.

2. Try breastfeeding in the lying position

In addition to sitting, we can also breastfeed while lying down. If the pillow is the right height for us to be comfortable, then the neck will feel more comfortable and not stretch faster than someone sitting in a breastfeeding position.

3. Place the baby's head in the middle arm

During breastfeeding, we often rest the baby's head on our elbows. In fact, it is not advisable to put the baby's head on the elbow. You see when the baby's head goes from the breast to the automatic elbow head. So, the mother will automatically lift her arms over the baby's head.

"Then the right is tired. Or, so, for example, the position is in the left hand holding the baby's head close to the breast, and then the right body part will be recommended before. As a result, it can be painful, with the position of the head placed on the baby's elbow it is also difficult to get the areola of the mother's breast into the mouth. At the same time, if the baby's head is located in the baby's middle arm, it is easier to get the areola into his mouth.

4. Choose a chair PAS

Breastfeeding on a soft couch can really make it easier for you, bread. But remember that most sofas do not provide proper support for the spine, so if you sit on the sofa for too long, especially during breastfeeding, without the right position, your neck and back will feel some pain. Especially if we sit on the sofa, without realizing it, the body will sag, for this it helps to choose a chair that allows the mother to maintain an upright position.
