3. Indirect contact transmission: Pubic lice and lice eggs often contaminate underwear, towels, bed sheets, toilets, etc. as pubic hair falls off. Other people become infected when they come into contact with these items contaminated by pubic lice.

Why do pubic lice occur?

Pubic lice often occur in people who live in poor hygiene and crowded environments. Pubic lice are usually transmitted through sexual contact, and couples often suffer from pubic lice at the same time. Therefore, pubic lice is also a sexually transmitted disease. It can also be spread indirectly through underwear, mattresses or toilet seats.
