Pubic hair lumps

Pubic hair lumps

After entering puberty, the reproductive organs that represent "sex" in all aspects of boys and girls will gradually develop, and the two parts that change the most are the genitals and breasts. The biggest symptom of genitals is the growth of pubic hair. Although the presence of pubic hair will make the genitals look extremely unsightly, it can buffer the damage to the genitals from the outside world to a certain extent. But why do some people find lumps around pubic hair?

If a woman has localized pimples on her pubic hair, and if the pimples are smooth and light in color, and there are no other abnormal symptoms, it is usually considered to be a sebaceous cyst caused by congestion of sebaceous glands. If the surface of the bumps on the pubic hair is red and swollen, or even painful, or there is purulent growth, it is often due to stimulation from urine and feces, which leads to Staphylococcus aureus infection and causes folliculitis. If the surface of the bumps on pubic hair is not smooth, and they protrude like cauliflower, and there is even obvious tenderness when touched, then you have to consider the possibility of genital warts.

Considering it is vulvitis, it is recommended to keep the perineum clean, dry and ventilated, change cotton underwear frequently, and it is recommended to wear loose and fit underwear. Potassium permanganate solution can be used to clean the vulva or take a sitz bath to reduce local friction. Antibiotics can be used when necessary. It may be folliculitis or sebaceous gland inflammation. Avoid spicy food, low-fat diet, apply erythromycin ointment and wash frequently with hot water.

This condition is caused by a local infection of the pubic hair follicles or sebaceous cysts. Normally, the pubic hair can be shaved off and then some anti-infection ointments, such as erythromycin ointment or fusidic acid ointment, can be applied for three to five days of anti-infection treatment, and the symptoms should be relieved. If an abscess develops, it may require incision and drainage as an outpatient procedure.

It could be folliculitis. In daily life, because the vulva is easily contaminated with urine, feces and leucorrhea, the skin of the vulva is often in a humid environment, and this humid environment is very suitable for bacterial growth. When the body's resistance is reduced, it is susceptible to bacterial infection. It is recommended to keep the area clean and dry, strengthen exercise, go to a dermatologist for diagnosis, choose topical or oral medication, and avoid spicy and greasy foods.
