8 months premature

8 months premature

The fetus will develop in the mother's body for about 9 months before being born. During this period, women's physical health must be protected to the greatest extent possible. Internally, they should consume a lot of nutritious foods, and externally, they should prevent unexpected situations. However, premature birth due to various reasons is becoming more and more common in modern life. Let’s take a look at the symptoms of premature birth at 8 months.

If a pregnant woman has a uterine malformation or suffers cervical damage due to childbirth, miscarriage or surgical operation, relaxation of the internal os of the cervix may lead to premature rupture of membranes and premature birth.

What are the symptoms of eight months premature birth

1. Uterine contractions

If regular uterine contractions occur between 29 and 36 weeks of pregnancy and the frequency is high, it may indicate that the expectant mother is at risk of premature birth.

2. Cervical dilation

Between the 29th and 36th weeks of pregnancy, the uterus contracts more than twice every 10 minutes, and the expectant mother will begin to feel soreness, a bit like the abdominal pain during menstruation. Not only will the lower abdomen be uncomfortable, but the groin will also hurt and there will even be persistent lower back pain. Severe cases may also be accompanied by increased vaginal discharge and vaginal bleeding. If the cervix is more than 1 cm dilated during the initial examination, it could be premature labor pains and you should see a gynecologist immediately.

3. Swelling of abdominal muscles

If the expectant mother's lower abdomen repeatedly becomes soft and hard, and the muscles also feel hard and swollen, there are at least 1 to 2 contractions every 10 minutes, lasting more than 30 seconds, and accompanied by continuous labor pains, this phenomenon is a sign of premature birth, and the expectant mother should go to the hospital for examination as soon as possible.

4. Bloody vaginal discharge or rupture of membranes

If in the late pregnancy (29 to 36 weeks), the expectant mother experiences regular uterine contractions accompanied by vaginal bleeding, and the amount of bleeding is heavy, it may be a sign of premature birth and she should go to the hospital for examination immediately.

5. Early rupture of membranes

If a pregnant woman has a stream of warm liquid like urine flowing out of her vagina slowly and uncontrollably between the 29th and 36th weeks of pregnancy, it is early rupture of membranes, a sign of premature birth.
