Acupuncture is a part of traditional Chinese medicine. It can play a certain role in preventing and treating many diseases. However, acupuncture is not a panacea. For some diseases, there is no way to treat them and it can only achieve a certain health-care effect. Therefore, we should pay attention to this aspect. It can play a certain therapeutic role in treating liver qi deficiency or uterine heat. Let’s take a look at this aspect. Can acupuncture cure infertility? The treatment of infertility is an issue that many people are concerned about. As far as Chinese medicine is concerned, there are six types of infertility that can be treated with acupuncture, namely cold uterus, heat in the uterus, liver qi stagnation, uterine blood stasis, uterine phlegm and dampness, and kidney deficiency. So, how does Traditional Chinese Medicine treat various types of infertility? Let’s take a look. 1. Uterine heat It is seen in patients with high temper. Common symptoms include early menstruation, heavy flow or continuous dripping, dark red menstrual blood with blood clots, thick and sticky menstrual blood with fishy smell, red face and dry mouth, irritability, frequent dreams, constipation, etc. The treatment should focus on clearing away heat and cooling blood, and the Sanyinjiao, Taichong, Hegu, Taixi, Quchi and other acupoints can be used. 2. Liver Qi is not smooth It is more common in patients with emotional instability or excessive stress. Common symptoms include irregular menstruation, variable menstrual flow, dark menstrual flow with small blood clots, premenstrual breast and lower abdominal distension and pain, migraine, irritability, chest tightness and pain, etc. Treatment aims to regulate the liver qi, and the Zhongji, Diji, Xuehai, Xingjian and Taichong points can be used. 3. Uterine congestion It is common in women who have undergone surgery, miscarriage or have dysmenorrhea, with symptoms such as scanty and irregular menstruation with blood clots, dry skin, numbness in the hands, etc. The treatment should focus on promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, using Guanyuan, Guilai, Yaoyangguan, Xuehai, Sanyinjiao and other acupoints for treatment. 4. Phlegm and dampness in the uterus It is common in obese women, with symptoms including delayed menstruation, scanty blood flow, excessive vaginal discharge, laziness, dizziness, palpitations, chest tightness and nausea. Treatment should focus on strengthening the spleen and eliminating dampness, and the spleen, triple burner, Zhongwan, Gongsun, Sanyinjiao, Fenglong and other acupoints are often used for treatment. 5. Cold Uterus It is common in people with cold constitution or who like to eat cold food. Symptoms include delayed menstruation, small amount of dark menstrual blood, cold pain in the lower abdomen, thin leucorrhea, cold hands and feet, back pain, diarrhea and ovulation disorders. The treatment should focus on warming the palace and dispersing the cold. You can choose Qihai, Guanyuan, Shenque, Mingmen, Shenshu and other acupoints. 6. Kidney deficiency Symptoms include menstrual disorders or amenorrhea, dizziness, tinnitus, back pain and weak knees, fatigue, poor egg quality or ovulation disorders, etc. Treatment should focus on tonifying the kidney, and the Shenshu, Zhishi, Qihai, Fuliu, Ran Gu and other acupoints can be used for treatment. |
