Postpartum neck sweating

Postpartum neck sweating

Women always experience many adverse reactions after giving birth, such as insomnia, loss of appetite, listlessness, etc. Some pregnant women will experience sweating on their necks after delivery. There are many reasons for this, most of which are caused by qi deficiency. When this happens, people need to pay special attention and take timely measures to regulate it. Let’s explain in detail what causes sweating on the neck after childbirth.

Postpartum night sweats are very common and are the result of the body's self-regulation after childbirth. After pregnancy, the blood volume in the body increases, causing a large amount of water to accumulate in the pregnant woman's body. After delivery, the metabolic and endocrine activities of the mother are significantly reduced, and the body no longer needs so much circulating blood. The accumulated water becomes redundant and must be discharged from the body to reduce the burden on the heart and facilitate the comprehensive recovery of the body after delivery.

Sweating on the neck after childbirth is likely caused by deficiency of qi and blood, and timely measures need to be taken to regulate it.

What to do if you have Qi and blood deficiency after childbirth

Blood deficiency. Due to blood loss during childbirth, women may experience symptoms of blood deficiency, such as trouble sleeping, palpitations, and dizziness. At this time, you can use 15-20 grams of angelica, add longan and red dates, boil in water and take it.

Qi deficiency. Some women feel dizzy, tired, and unwilling to talk after giving birth. These are symptoms of qi deficiency. If you feel that your qi deficiency is more severe, you can drink 10 grams of ginseng boiled in water. If the symptoms of qi deficiency are mild, you can take 10-30 grams of Codonopsis pilosula decoction in water; or stew Codonopsis pilosula and red dates together with chicken, which is also effective. If a woman suffers from qi deficiency after childbirth and also has symptoms of sweating, she can use 10-30 grams of Codonopsis pilosula and 10-20 grams of Astragalus membranaceus, decoct them together in water and drink. If the symptoms are deficiency of both Qi and blood, you can also use Codonopsis pilosula, red dates and longan as tonic. Codonopsis pilosula can tonify the middle, replenish qi, and nourish blood. It is a good choice for treating deficiency of both qi and blood.

stomach ache. Some women experience abdominal pain after giving birth. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that this may be due to blood stasis in the body. At this time, you can take motherwort paste or motherwort granules to promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis. In addition, you can also boil 10-15 grams of hawthorn in water and add some brown sugar to take. Among them, hawthorn can promote blood circulation and relieve blood stasis, while brown sugar can replenish qi and blood, relieve pain, promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis, which is suitable for treating this kind of abdominal pain.
