Young women with frequent urination

Young women with frequent urination

There are many reasons for frequent urination, which can happen to anyone. The reasons can be divided into physiological and pathological. Young women who have frequent and urgent urination should pay attention to pathological reasons. There are many types of diseases in this regard. We can first have a general understanding and make a comprehensive judgment based on other physical manifestations. Let’s take a look at the detailed reasons why young women have frequent urination and urgency.

1. Lower urinary tract obstruction

If there is obstruction in a woman's lower urinary tract, it will lead to urethral stenosis and difficulty urinating, the main manifestation of which is slow urination, which can also cause frequent urination in women.

2. Bladder or urethra irritation

Bladder, posterior urethritis, bladder tuberculosis or stones. In case of bladder tuberculosis, frequent urination lasts particularly long.

3. Neurogenic bladder

Bladder dysfunction due to neurological disease.

4. Mental problems

If a woman is nervous, it will also cause frequent urination. When a woman is anxious and fearful, it will affect her urination.

5. External factors

Urethral injury caused by instrumental examination, sexual intercourse or trauma.

6. Reduced bladder capacity

Frequent urination in women is caused by space-occupying lesions in the bladder, tuberculous contracted bladder, or bladder compression due to pregnant uterus, uterine fibroids, or uterine prolapse.

7. Gynecological inflammation

Infection of the urethra and surrounding glands, such as vaginitis, cervicitis, etc. After a woman's frequent urination is ruled out as a result of systemic infection, it may be due to urinary diseases, such as bladder stones, bladder tuberculosis, interstitial cystitis, and bladder tumors, which can all cause symptoms of frequent urination and urgency.

8. Urinary tract and seasonal factors

If a woman has frequent urination but only a small amount of urine each time, and has no pain or other symptoms, she should consider whether there is inflammation or other conditions.

9. Dietary polyuria

If you have frequent urination and a large amount of urine each time, but no other symptoms, you should first pay attention to whether you drink too much water, especially if you like to drink tea.

10. Neurogenic urinary frequency

The bladder detrusor is underdeveloped and the nerves are not sound, which may cause daytime spot polyuria, up to 20 to 30 times, but normal urination at night. There is a tendency of recurring attacks, and urine tests are normal. This disease is not caused by inflammation.

11. Urinary tract inflammation

If you have frequent, urgent, or painful urination or are experiencing fever, you should consider having a urinary tract infection, such as cystitis, pyelonephritis, etc. Pus cells or a large number of white blood cells may be found under a urine test microscope. In severe cases, there may be symptoms of systemic infection and poisoning, and antibiotic treatment is required.

12. Special diseases

If frequent urination is accompanied by a large amount of urine, and at the same time there is thirst, polydipsia, polyuria, and weight loss, you should pay attention to check your urine. If the urine contains sugar, you should consider diabetes. If there is no sugar in the urine but the specific gravity is low, you should think of diabetes insipidus.
