Hormone level curve after pregnancy

Hormone level curve after pregnancy

Everyone should know that the level of estrogen in a woman's body will change after she becomes pregnant. Some estrogen is converted into hard hormones to promote the healthy development of your baby. Therefore, for pregnant women, it is very important to know whether their hormone levels are normal. If the hormone levels are abnormal, it will affect the normal functions of the female body. So what is the female hormone level curve after pregnancy?

1. Human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG)

This hormone is released by the placenta after the blastocyst of a woman begins to implant in the uterus. Because it is a test hormone for pregnancy in women, it is called "pregnancy hormone." HCG levels are actually very high, which can often trigger hormonal activity to maintain pregnancy and prevent menstruation.

2. Progesterone

Non-pregnant women actually have progesterone in their bodies, but the level is relatively low. After pregnancy, it is mainly produced by the ovaries. After women become pregnant, the role of progesterone produced by the placenta is actually very large. It can effectively inhibit strong contractions of the uterus and ensure the safety of the fetus. It can also help people maintain the function of the placenta and strengthen the pelvic wall of women. Progesterone can also help women prepare for breast secretion.

3. Estrogen

Estrogen levels will also increase during a woman's pregnancy. In fact, estrogen will stimulate the proliferation of a woman's endometrium very early in preparation for pregnancy, and will also increase significantly. The number of blood vessels and glands in the uterine wall also significantly increases the blood volume in the body. Some female friends may experience bleeding gums or nosebleeds as a result.

Based on the above introduction, you should now know how hormone levels change during pregnancy. In fact, progesterone and estrogen change greatly. If female friends do not understand these characteristic changes, they will often feel panic about some abnormalities in their bodies. Now that everyone knows so much, they can face these changes calmly.
