Why does hydatidiform mole occur?

Why does hydatidiform mole occur?

(3) Related to endocrine disorders

If a woman suffers from ovarian insufficiency or ovarian decline, the placenta may become vesicular during pregnancy. It is generally believed that insufficient estrogen in women may lead to hydatidiform mole.

(4) Related to fertilized egg defects

The occurrence of hydatidiform mole may also be related to abnormal development of the egg itself. It may also be related to racial factors, overexpression of oncogenes in women, or inactivation of tumor suppressor gene mutations.
