Pregnancy is a very happy thing, but some people develop hydatidiform mole after becoming pregnant. In fact, there are many reasons for hydatidiform mole. It may be a problem with nutrition, or it may be a problem with the body caused by age. If hydatidiform mole occurs, it must be treated in time, and don't be careless. If hydatidiform mole becomes malignant, it will cause diseases in other organs of the human body. The cause of hydatidiform mole is not very clear, it may be related to nutritional status, genetic factors, etc. Generally speaking, the incidence of hydatidiform mole in women aged over 35 or under 20 years old is significantly higher; in addition, the occurrence of hydatidiform mole in the previous pregnancy is also a high-risk factor for the occurrence of hydatidiform mole again. Since hydatidiform mole is a high-risk group for gestational trophoblastic tumor, it is important to pay attention to regular follow-up and HCG testing, so that trophoblastic tumor can be detected early and treated in time. Generally, follow-up is conducted once a week within 3 months; once every 2 weeks thereafter; and once a month after 3 months, for a minimum of 6 months. Strict contraception must be used during the follow-up period for one year. It is best to use condoms for contraception. If the follow-up is normal, it generally does not affect future fertility. Why does hydatidiform mole occur? (1) Related to nutritional factors Related surveys and studies have shown that hydatidiform mole is more common in rice-eating countries, and is believed to be closely related to the components of nutritional intake. The survey found that the folic acid activity in the patient's serum was very low, which could lead to fetal death and a lack of blood vessels in the placental villi, thus causing the possibility of hydatidiform mole. If a woman's diet contains low carotene, insufficient vitamin A, or insufficient trace elements such as Zn and Se, it may cause hydatidiform mole. (2) Related to viral infection When it comes to the question of why hydatidiform mole occurs, although there is currently no conclusive evidence that the occurrence of hydatidiform mole is related to viral infection, relevant scholars believe that the occurrence of hydatidiform mole is closely related to viral infection through a large number of case studies and analyses. (3) Related to endocrine disorders If a woman suffers from ovarian insufficiency or ovarian decline, the placenta may become vesicular during pregnancy. It is generally believed that insufficient estrogen in women may lead to hydatidiform mole. (4) Related to fertilized egg defects The occurrence of hydatidiform mole may also be related to abnormal development of the egg itself. It may also be related to racial factors, overexpression of oncogenes in women, or inactivation of tumor suppressor gene mutations. |
