Can I eat watermelon when I have dysmenorrhea?

Menstruation is a physiological phenomenon that every normal woman must experience. It is very important in a woman's life. Whether the menstruation is normal is related to the health of the human body. Because the menstruation occurs on a few days every month, women must pay attention to some matters during those days to keep the menstruation normal, especially for women who experience menstrual pain. So, can they eat fruits when they have menstrual pain?

Menstrual pain is divided into two types: primary and secondary. Primary dysmenorrhea mainly occurs during puberty. The occurrence of menstrual pain is mainly related to the increase of a hormone in the uterine wall during menarche. This hormone is prostacyclin, which is the most important cause of menstrual pain. In addition, menstrual pain is also affected by mental and psychological disorders, stress, and sleep, and is related to the individual's pain threshold. This type of pain is generally most intense on the first day of the menstrual period and is characterized by cramps, and has no logical relationship with melon.

Therefore, even though you can eat fruit during your menstrual period, it is recommended to eat melon at room temperature, rather than frozen or refrigerated melon. Frozen food that has just been taken out of the refrigerator is not good for your health because it stimulates the digestive tract.

We can make melon into watermelon juice, and mix it with some peach juice, papaya juice and other warm fruit juices. This can neutralize the cold watermelon juice and reduce its coldness. However, it is best to drink less of this kind of relatively cold fruit juice and eat more hot and humid things to maintain health.

Women's special period should be treated differently. Even if you can eat and drink anything normally, you don't need to eat cold food during this period. Try to avoid eating irritating and greasy foods. Even in summer, you must avoid cold foods such as popsicles, drink more hot water, and keep the body warm.

Pay attention to keeping warm during the menstrual period. You need to learn how to keep warm from many aspects, for example: wear more clothes when going out, don't wear clothes that expose your navel, wear warm boots under your feet. If you feel pain in your lower abdomen, you can put a hand warmer on your abdomen to keep it warm and you won't feel uncomfortable. Pay attention to rest during the menstrual period and don't be too tired.

During the menstrual period, you don't have to lie in bed sick. Dress yourself up, keep a good attitude, go out for a walk and relax. A happy mood is good for your health and has a good effect on the special stage of the menstrual period. You must know that the menstrual period is a normal stage. You just need to pay a little attention and maintain a normal life.
