What is the inflammation of the vaginal opening?

What is the inflammation of the vaginal opening?

For female friends, there will always be some gynecological problems in life. Some of the questions are downright embarrassing. For example, if there is some unpleasant odor from your genitals during social activities, you will be very worried and embarrassed, and you will be especially afraid that others will find out. So, what kind of inflammation causes pain and odor at the vaginal opening? Today we will introduce it to you, hoping to alleviate your embarrassing situation.

Recently, I have started to have an unpleasant odor in my private parts. I can smell it when I sit or take off my pants. It also comes out after I take a shower. No matter how I wash, it doesn’t help. It's a bit like the smell of urine. When I put toilet paper on the vaginal opening, I found that there is a bad smell. But there is no odor when fingers are inserted into the vagina. And occasionally there will be very slight itching inside the vagina (closer to the vaginal opening).

【Cause Analysis】

Because the female vulva is more likely to adhere to and accumulate vaginal secretions, sweat and sebum, after bacterial fermentation, it will emit an unpleasant odor. If your vaginal discharge appears normal, it may just be caused by hot weather or wearing tight underwear.

But as long as the leucorrhea is abnormal, there must be inflammation. However, to know which type it is, you need to go to the hospital for routine leucorrhea tests. If the leucorrhea is yellow or there is yellow liquid flowing out of the vagina, it belongs to the yellow discharge type of women's five genitals. The possible reasons and manifestations of increased and yellow leucorrhea are:

(1) When suffering from candidal vaginitis, the leucorrhea is yellow or white, and most of the time it is thick, but sometimes it can be thin. The typical leucorrhea is like tofu dregs or curds;

(2) The vaginal discharge of trichomoniasis is pus-like, yellow, and foamy, or like rice water, grayish white, and has a foul odor.

(3) In cases of cervical erosion, the vaginal discharge is usually yellow, sticky like mucus, and odorless.

(4) The leucorrhea of gonorrhea is yellow pus-like;

(5) When suffering from pelvic inflammatory diseases such as endometritis, leucorrhea will increase, become yellow in color, and thin in texture, often accompanied by abdominal pain;

(6) Amebic vaginitis is relatively rare and is caused by amoeba. When amoeba trophozoites invade the vagina, they cause necrosis of vaginal epithelial cells through the activity of their pseudopodia and the secretion of histolytic enzymes, forming ulcers. As a result, bloody serous or yellow mucopurulent secretions are discharged from the vagina in large amounts, accompanied by symptoms such as vaginal and vulvar pain and vulvar itching. To treat this disease, you must first pay attention to personal hygiene, keep the vulva clean, and prevent feces from continuing to contaminate the vulva and vagina.

Among common gynecological diseases, leucorrhea is the most common, followed by yellow discharge. Yellow discharge is not an abnormal condition of leucorrhea, but is mostly caused by inflammatory infection. Therefore, it is recommended to go to the hospital for a vaginal discharge and leucorrhea test to confirm why the inflammation is caused so as to facilitate early treatment.
